The Apex, N.C. native raced at the NC SCY Senior meet back in February and was selected for the NC 15-18 girls Zone Team in 2016 and 2017.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">She also represents Apex Friendship High School where she has been named captain the past two seasons and has earned MVP honors twice. She is a three-time NCHSAA 4A State Championship qualifier and competed in the 200 IM during her junior season.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>&#8220;I am beyond thrilled to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and swimming career at George Mason University! She competed at the KY SCY meet in March where she finaled in the 100 free and posted three top-5 finished at the 2017 Cardinal Christmas Classic.<\/p>\n<p>She also swims for Assumption High School and has qualified for the KHSAA State Championships each of her three seasons thus far. As a junior, she\u00a0finished seventh in the 100 free and tenth in the 50 free after placing eighth in both of those events during her sophomore campaign.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #cccc18;\"><strong>\u201cI chose George Mason University because of its proximity to Washington DC and its outstanding team atmosphere and coaching staff who made\u00a0 me feel welcomed as soon as I arrived on campus.
