WE&#039;VE been waiting for the debut of Chase Kalisz to collegiate competition for months, and the Baltimore native made the most of his first meet with the Georgia Bulldogs, winning three races. Kalisz&#039;s top swim at the meet, at least from our perspective here at Swimming World, was the 200 breast. His 1:59.58 was just two seconds off his lifetime best, not bad for coming off what we&#039;re sure was some tough training over the holiday break.<\/p>\n<p>Though Kalisz has yet to prove himself in the short course pool, he&#039;s still a top contender at the NCAAs in the individual medley events, and the 200 breast, so keep your eye on this freshman from Georgia.
