NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Winchester, Tenn. native\u00a0Ashley Slayton\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to the University of Alabama and will join the Crimson Tide as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Swimming for Manchester Makos Swim Team, Slayton concluded the summer season with a pair of lifetime bests at the NCSA Championships in August after finaling in four events with 100 percent best times at the Southeastern LCM Championships a week prior. At the Southeastern SCY Championships in February, Slayton was the 400 IM runner-up and made four additional finals appearances.<\/p>\n

A four-time Tennessee State Championship finalist for Franklin County High School, Slayton\u00a0finished fifth in the 500 free and sixth in the 200 free as a junior. She competed in the 200 free during both her freshman and sophomore seasons as well.<\/p>\n
