NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>New Orleans, La. native\u00a0Davis Edwards\u00a0<\/strong>has verbally committed to Auburn University and will join the Tigers as a member of the class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Edwards, who specializes in backstroke and IM, swims year-round with Nu Wave Swim Club and is a four-time Junior National qualifier with a U.S. Open cut in the 400 IM. He had a stellar NCSA Championships this past summer where he was a three-time finalist and achieved five lifetime bests. He won four events at Louisiana 13&O LCM State Championships and three events at the SCY meet in February in addition to finaling in the 200 back at Juniors West last winter.<\/p>\n

Also competing for Jesuit High School, Edwards is a six-time Louisiana DI Championship finalist. As a junior, he finished third in the 500 free and fourth in the 200 IM. He was the 200 IM runner-up as a sophomore and earned the bronze in both events during his freshman season.<\/p>\n
