NEW COMMIT:\u00a0<\/strong>Virginia Tech has been rolling in the commitments and recently added another one from\u00a0Sophia Ryan\u00a0<\/strong>of Sandy Spring, Md.<\/p>\n

Ryan will join Hannah Jirsa<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Brooke Travis<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Hannah Virgin<\/a>,<\/strong>\u00a0Morgan Miller<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Ashley Worden<\/a>, Shelby Raber<\/a><\/strong> and Rose Pouch<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>as members of the Hokie class of 2023.<\/p>\n

Ryan does her club swimming with Rockville Montgomery Swim Club and has met the Winter Junior standard in the 200 back. She concluded her summer season with three best times and a finals appearance at NCSA Championships. She also had a strong showing in her four events she raced at NCSAs in March.<\/p>\n

Also representing Sherwood High School, Ryan is a six-time MPSSAA 4A\/3A State finalist. She won the 200 free and was the 100 back runner-up at the state meet as a junior. She posted a pair of bronze-medal finishes in those same events during her sophomore season.<\/p>\n
