National Junior Team member\u00a0Carson Foster\u00a0<\/strong>was recently featured in an original mini-series “Heroes of the Future” by the Olympic Channel for being one of the stars to watch in the next few years.<\/p>\n

Foster, 16, had himself a solid summer with three gold medals at the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships this summer in Fiji in the 400 IM<\/a>, 200 back and 200 IM.<\/p>\n

The short film features Foster with his club team in Ohio, the Mason Manta Rays, as well as his two siblings<\/a>,\u00a0Hannah<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Jake Foster<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Foster is currently in his junior year of high school and he has already committed to swim<\/a> for the University of Texas where he will be a freshman in the fall of 2020. In the film, it highlights his days as a National Age Group Record holder<\/a> when he was 10-years-old, breaking the record that was held then by the legendary\u00a0Michael Phelps<\/strong>. Those results resulted in him being\u00a0Swimming World’s\u00a0<\/em>featured age group swimmer of the month<\/a> in our October 2012 issue.<\/p>\n

Foster talked about what breaking the Phelps record meant to him, as well as how much him and Olympic Gold Medalist\u00a0Ryan Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>inspire him.<\/p>\n

He also talked about what making an Olympic Team would mean to him and how long he has been dreaming of that goal.<\/p>\n

The Olympic Channel has featured many great athletes “before they were superstars.” That list includes 18-year-old Michael Phelps<\/a>, 14-year-old\u00a0Emily Seebohm<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and 17-year-old\u00a0Sarah Sjostrom<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
