The convention&#8217;s 1,500 attendees represent 700,000 aquatic sport participants.<\/p>\n<p>Attendees can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamunify.com\/SubTabGeneric.jsp?_stabid_=182108&amp;team=usas\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">register<\/a> online, or in person at the registration desk, for the entirety of the conference or by day. Day registration does not include admittance to the awards banquet on Saturday Night.<\/p>\n<p>The first day of USA Diving&#8217;s portion of the convention includes a Board of Directors meeting, active shooter training, an athlete meeting, a rules committee, and a closed governance and elections committee.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamusa.org\/USA-Diving\/2018-Nominations-and-Elections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nominations<\/a> for the USA Diving open positions to be voted on are currently being accepted.<\/p>\n<p>The second day of USA Diving&#8217;s annual meeting will include talks by<strong> Brian Payne<\/strong> on Flip for Fun, and The Impact of Social Media on Training and Performance by <strong>Dr. Megan Neyer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Those attending the USA Diving portion of the convention who are not registered with USAS must register, and be a registered member USA Diving.<\/p>\n<p>See the full schedule of events on USA Diving&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.teamusa.org\/USA-Diving\/Events\/2018\/September\/27\/2018-USAS-Convention-and-USA-Diving-Annual-Meeting?utm_source=wordfly&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_campaign=Sept2018Enews&amp;utm_content=version_A\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The United States Aquatic Sports and USA Diving annual meeting is set to occur next weekend, September 27 to 29, 2018, at the Hyatt Regency in Jacksonville, Florida.
