She also competed at the Carlsbad Speedo Sectionals and placed 22nd in the 100 breast (1:05.37).<\/p>\n<p>Also competing for Campolindo High School, Hanley has finaled in the 100 breast all three seasons at the CIF North Coast Section Championships. As a junior, she registered a sixth-place showing with a lifetime best of 1:03.62.\u00a0She finished 16th (1:06.53, 1:07.62) as a freshman and sophomore, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and further my education at the University Of Iowa. I instantly fell in love with the school last winter, and strived to make my dream of going there a reality. I want to say a special thanks to my family, friends, and coaches for supporting me.I love the energy of the team &amp; coaches, and can not wait to join the Hawkeyes! She concluded her long course season with four personal bests at the NCSA Championships. Rink earned the bronze in the 200m free (2:07.80) at the Pleasant Prairie Speedo Sectionals in March and finaled in four events at the 2018 Illinois Senior Championships.<\/p>\n<p>Also representing Bloomington High School, Rink is a three-time IHSA State Championship finalist.\u00a0The NISCA All-Amerian finished fifth in the 200 free (1:50.38) and 12th in the 100 free (52.08) as a junior. She swam to 12th in the 200 free (1:54.29) during her sophomore campaign.<\/p>\n<p>She told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #d4d439;\"><strong>&#8220;I am so excited to continue my academic and swim career as a Hawkeye! As well as being a great academic institution, The University of Iowa has a great swim program and an amazing team atmosphere. GO HAWKS!&#8221;<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 24.17<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 50.94<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:49.40<\/li>\n<li>500 free &#8211; 5:03.03<\/li>\n<li>100 fly &#8211; 57.66<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Both swimmers will add valuable depth to the Hawkeyes&#8217; roster when they arrive in Iowa City in the fall of 2019.
