News<\/em>. &#8220;My goal is to win Olympic gold in Tokyo.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"canvas-atom canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm\" data-reactid=\"27\">&#8220;I&#8217;m made for that, I know it, I feel it,&#8221; he said. &#8220;I like the challenges, my goal is the Olympic gold medal in Tokyo, I&#8217;m coming back because I love swimming. I do not feel I have reached the end,&#8221; said Leveaux, adding that he did &#8220;not need to work&#8221; to get in shape.<\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\">Leveaux retired after swimming the first leg on the 4&#215;100 free relay for France in the prelims of the 2013 World Championships in Barcelona. In 2012, he swam the first leg on the gold medal winning 4&#215;100 free relay team at the London Olympics with <strong>Fabien Gilot<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Clement Lefert\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Yannick Agnel\u00a0<\/strong>that shocked the Americans and Australians. It was France&#8217;s first ever Olympic gold medal in a swimming relay.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-reactid=\"27\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/-XI_XeoIFnI\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\">Four years prior, he swam the first leg for France in the now-famous 4&#215;100 free relay at the Beijing Olympics. He won the silver medal in what is still the second fastest relay ever with\u00a0Gilot,\u00a0<strong>Fred Bousquet\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Alain Bernard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\">Amaury Leveaux has a total of four Olympic medals. He won two medals in the 4&#215;100 free relay and also won a silver in the 50 free in 2008 and a silver in the 4&#215;200 free relay in 2012.<\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\">Leveaux also currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/european-short-course-championships-flash-amaury-leveaux-clears-45-seconds-for-100th-total-world-record-of-2008-video-included\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">holds the world record<\/a> in the SCM 100 free at 44.94 from the 2008 European Championships.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\" data-reactid=\"27\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/V7PkAOeJKJA\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\">Leveaux will be 34 by the time the Tokyo Olympics roll around and he will be chasing the likes of Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ben Proud\u00a0<\/strong>and American\u00a0<strong>Caeleb Dressel<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-reactid=\"27\"><em>Yahoo!
