NEW COMMITS:\u00a0<\/strong>Ohio State has received a trio of verbal commitments from\u00a0Leah Baker, Aislinn Walsh\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Brynna Wolfe<\/strong>, all of whom will join the Buckeyes in the fall of 2019.<\/p>\n

Baker will make her way to Columbus from Moon Township, Penn. where she competes for the Moon Aqua Club and has her Winter Nationals cut in the 100 breast. At the Futures Championships in Richmond this summer, she placed sixth in the 100m breast (1:13.18).<\/p>\n

Also swimming for Moon High School, Baker finished fourth in the 100 breast (1:02.90) at the 2018 Pennsylvania 3A State meet and swam the breaststroke leg (28.82) on her team’s ninth-place 4×50 medley relay.\u00a0She is also a NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.<\/p>\n

    Hailing from South Bend, Ind., Walsh does her club swimming with Irish Aquatics and has her U.S. Open cut in the 100 breast. At the NCSA Junior National Championships last month, she was the winner of the 50m breast (32.56). She also recorded four new lifetime bests at the Akron Speedo Sectionals in March.<\/p>\n

    A NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American, Walsh also swims for South Bend St. Joseph High School. At the IHSAA State meet as a junior, she was the runner-up in the 100 breast (1:02.09) and finished sixth in the 100 fly (55.76). She also finished second in the 100 breast (1:01.61) during her sophomore campaign.<\/p>\n

      Kings Mills, Ohio native Wolfe competes year-round with the Mason Manta Rays where she is a Summer Junior National qualifier in the 100m back, notching a personal best 1:04.15 at the meet in August. She also recorded five new personal bests at the TYR Pro Swim Series Columbus in July.<\/p>\n

      Also representing Kings High School, Wolfe was the runner-up in the 100 back (55.43) at the 2018 Ohio State High School D1 Championships after finishing fifth in the same event as a sophomore. She has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and NISCA All-American honors.<\/p>\n
