At the Glenmark Junior National Aquatic Championships in June, he earned three gold medals and recorded two runner-up finishes.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the National Team, Roy most recently represented India at the Asian Games where he finished 14th in the 200m IM (2:08.37). At the Glenmark Senior National meet last fall, he earned a silver and bronze in the 400m IM and 200m IM, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div><span style=\"color: #800000;\"><strong>\u201cI am delighted to announce my commitment to swim and study at Stanford University for the Class of 2023!\u00a0I\u2019m looking forward to being on the Farm next year and working with Coach Knapp and Coach Kostoff. I\u2019m excited to be joining such a strong program and team!\u00a0#FearTheTree\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div>In LCM, his best times include:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 23.82<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 52.22<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:54.48<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 2:07.52<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 58.70<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In SCY, those times convert to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 free &#8211; 20.72<\/li>\n<li>100 free &#8211; 45.58<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:40.25<\/li>\n<li>200 IM &#8211; 1:50.55<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 50.81<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Roy will be valuable in a number of different events when he arrives at Stanford for the 2019-20 season.
