See all the results from the third day of prelims below and you can get out all recaps from the meet .<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-fina-world-cup-kazan-day-3\/international-elite\/2018\/September\/7\">2018 FINA World Cup Kazan \u2013 Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sjostrom opened the final day of prelims in Kazan with a new World Cup record in the 100 butterfly, sprinting her way to a 57.56 that equalled\u00a0<strong>Rikako Ikee&#8217;s\u00a0<\/strong>record from back in 2015. Sjostrom will have another crack at it tonight and it should be just her against the record: the next closest qualifier into the final,\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Sasha Touretski<\/strong>, was nearly two seconds back.<\/p>\n<p>World record holder\u00a0<strong>Andrii Govorov\u00a0<\/strong>was the top qualifier in the men&#8217;s 50 fly in 23.28, just ahead of American\u00a0<strong>Michael Andrew\u00a0<\/strong>who qualified second in 23.45.\u00a0Notably,\u00a0<strong>Vlad Morozov\u00a0<\/strong>qualified seventh into tonight&#8217;s final (24.02), while\u00a0<strong>Chad le Clos\u00a0<\/strong>missed out on a second swim after finishing 12th in 24.50.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mitchell Larkin\u00a0<\/strong>took the top seed in the 100 back (55.74), just ahead of Michael Andrew who was back in the pool right after the 50 fly. Andrew will go into the final second after qualifying in 55.76. Morozov was also in the 100 back, finishing 8th this morning in 56.85.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yulia Efimova\u00a0<\/strong>will look to add a second breaststroke win tonight after qualifying first in 31.03, while the men&#8217;s 200 breast should be a battle tonight after\u00a0<strong>Kirill Prigoda\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Anton Chupkov\u00a0<\/strong>put up two 2:11&#8217;s in the heats.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>claimed the middle lane for the final in the women&#8217;s 100 free, touching in 54.38 this morning, just ahead of Sjostrom (54.50) in her second swim of the evening. Qualifying third behind both women was\u00a0<strong>Ramoni Kromowidjojo\u00a0<\/strong>(55.26).<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands\u00a0<strong>Kyle Stock\u00a0<\/strong>led a relatively quiet men&#8217;s 200 free, advancing as the fastest qualifier with a 1:51.21 ahead of le Clos (1:52.55) and American\u00a0<strong>Blake Pieroni\u00a0<\/strong>(1:53.14).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Katinka Hosszu\u00a0<\/strong>closed the session with her sole swim of the morning, posting a dominant 2:11.51 in the women&#8217;s 200 IM.
