IF you followed us on swimmingworld.com the past five days, you know there were plenty of outstanding performances to consider for this Performance of the Week. We had world records, American records and high school records &#8230; so much to choose from, but we had to pick one performance, and we are going with Breeja Larson&#039;s 200 breaststroke American record at the Phill Hansel Invite on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>Larson, a junior at Texas A&#038;M, swam a 2:04.48, breaking Rebecca Soni&#039;s record by two tenths of a second. Larson has mostly been known as a 100 breaststroker, the event in which she made the Olympic team, and though she&#039;s always been in the hunt for an NCAA title in the 200 breast, few people believed she would be the one to take down Soni&#039;s record.<\/p>\n<p>Larson now takes high expectations with her to the NCAA championships in March.
