HOUSTON, Texas, November 17. BREEJA Larson is not normally known as a 200 breaststroker, but she changed that perspective this morning in the preliminaries of the event at the Phill Hansel Invite with an American, NCAA and U.S. Open record in the short course yards version.<\/p>\n
Larson, a junior at Texas A&M, posted a 2:04.48, lowering Rebecca Soni's hallowed mark by .27 seconds. The key to Larson's swim was the second 100 yards, in which she was able to outsplit Soni by about five tenths.<\/p>\n
