Suzuki has already won a gold this week and she could win her second, and possibly her third on Thursday night in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joseph Schooling\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Xu Jiayu\u00a0<\/strong>are also going for their second and third golds of the meet respectively.\u00a0<strong>Khader Baqlah<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Yu Hexin<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Li<\/strong><strong>\u00a0Guangyuan\u00a0<\/strong>are the top seeds going into their respective events for finals.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.asiangames2018.id\/sport\/swimming\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Live Results<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Joseph Schooling<\/strong>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/joseph-schooling-defends-100-fly-asian-games-title-sets-games-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">fresh off his 100 fly gold medal<\/a>, swam a 23.84 in the heats of the 100 fly on Thursday morning in Jakarta on the fifth day of swimming at the 2018 Asian Games. Schooling is just ahead of three other swimmers who broke 24 seconds in the prelims.<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wang Peng\u00a0<\/strong>(23.89), Kazakhstan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adilbek Mussin\u00a0<\/strong>(23.91) and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shunichi Nakao\u00a0<\/strong>(23.98) all broke 24 seconds as the gold medal could be up for grabs in the final.<\/p>\n<p>Schooling should still be the heavy favorite though as he is a class above the rest of the field. Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Satomi Suzuki\u00a0<\/strong>led the way with a new games record of 31.02, lowering the 31.04 set by China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Wang Randi\u00a0<\/strong>from 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Suzuki has already won a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/satomi-suzuki-wins-japans-first-swimming-gold-medal-at-2018-asian-games\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">gold medal this week<\/a>\u00a0and is looking for a second. She is slightly ahead of China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Feng Junyang\u00a0<\/strong>(31.16) and her Japanese teammate\u00a0<strong>Miho Teramura\u00a0<\/strong>(31.26).<\/p>\n<p>China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Suo Ran\u00a0<\/strong>(31.38) and Malaysia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jinq En Phee\u00a0<\/strong>(31.46) are also within striking distance of getting a spot on the podium.<\/p>\n<p>Singapore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Roanne Ho\u00a0<\/strong>(31.59), Taipei&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lin Peiwun\u00a0<\/strong>(31.77) and Kazakhstan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Adelaida Pchelintseva\u00a0<\/strong>(31.94) also qualified for the final.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Satomi Suzuki<\/strong>, JPN, 31.02, Games Record<\/li>\n<li><strong>Feng Junyang<\/strong>, CHN, 31.16<\/li>\n<li><strong>Miho Teramura<\/strong>, JPN, 31.26<\/li>\n<li><strong>Suo Ran<\/strong>, CHN, 31.38<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jinq En Phee<\/strong>, MAS, 31.46<\/li>\n<li><strong>Roanne Ho<\/strong>, SGP, 31.59<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lin Peiwun<\/strong>, TPE, 31.77<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adelaida Pchelintseva<\/strong>, KAZ, 31.94<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h3>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 100 free final will be a very fun one to watch as a couple countries are going for their first ever medals in swimming at the Asian Games.\u00a0<strong>Khader Baqlah\u00a0<\/strong>of Jordan is the top seed at 49.30, tied for first with China&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Yu Hexin<\/strong>. Jordan has never won a medal in swimming at the Asian Games as they only started competing in 1986.<\/p>\n<p>Sri Lanka is also going for its first ever pool medal with\u00a0<strong>Matthew Abeysinghe\u00a0<\/strong>in the fourth position at 49.48. Sri Lanka has been competing at the Games since 1951 and have yet to win a medal in swimming. He is going for a clean sweep with the 200 on Thursday night but will have his hands full with countryman\u00a0<strong>Li Guangyuan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.87) and Japan&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryosuke Irie\u00a0<\/strong>(2:01.74). Xu is the second seed at 2:00.53. They are 1-1 on the women&#8217;s relays this week with Japan taking the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/japan-outduels-china-in-womens-4x100-free-relay-for-new-asian-games-record\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4&#215;100 free<\/a> and China taking the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/china-breaks-games-record-in-4x200-free-relay-to-close-night-three\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">4&#215;200 free<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Japan should expect\u00a0<strong>Natsumi Sakai<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Satomi Suzuki<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Rikako Ikee\u00a0<\/strong>and <strong>Tomomi Aoki\u00a0<\/strong>for their final relay while China should have\u00a0<strong>Chen Jie<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Shi Jinglin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Zhang Yufei\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Zhu Menghui<\/strong>.
