Japan&#8217;s men&#8217;s 4&#215;100 free relay team of\u00a0<strong>Shinri Shioura\u00a0<\/strong>(48.85),\u00a0<strong>Katsuhiro Matsumoto\u00a0<\/strong>(47.65),\u00a0<strong>Katsumi Nakamura\u00a0<\/strong>(48.08) and\u00a0<strong>Juran Mizohata\u00a0<\/strong>(48.10) broke the Games Record with a 3:12.68, lowering the old record of 3:13.47 by China from 2014.<\/p>\n<p>China finished second here at 3:13.29, also under their old Games Record. The team of\u00a0<strong>Yang Jintong\u00a0<\/strong>(49.24),\u00a0<strong>Cao Jiwen\u00a0<\/strong>(48.29),\u00a0<strong>Sun Yang\u00a0<\/strong>(48.38) and\u00a0<strong>Yu Hexin\u00a0<\/strong>(47.38) came home with the silver medal thanks to a stellar split by their anchor Yu, but it was not enough as Japan has won three out of the four relays contested so far this week.<\/p>\n<p>The Japanese swam a tick faster at Pan Pacs earlier this month.
