During his junior campaign, the NISCA All-American\u00a0finished fourth in the 100 back (49.94) and was a member of the winning 4&#215;50 medley relay team.<\/p>\n<p>Hanna also swims year-round with Solon Stars Swim Club where he is a Junior National qualifier in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. At the Lake Erie Senior Championships this past March, he won the 200 back (1:47.92) and took second in the 100 back (50.50). At the Speedo Junior National Championships earlier this month, he posted a personal-best 59.02 in the 100m back.<\/p>\n<p>He told\u00a0<em>Swimming World:<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>\u201cI am honored to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at North Carolina State University.\u00a0Coach Holloway and his team emphasize a unique team culture, which makes NCSU swimming a perfect fit for me. Additionally, the outstanding academic opportunities at NCSU will undoubtedly prepare me for the future.\u00a0I would like to thank coach Holloway and his staff for this opportunity as well as my USA and high school coaches for helping me reach my goals.\u00a0Go Pack!\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>His best times include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>50 back &#8211; 23.47<\/li>\n<li>100 back &#8211; 49.94<\/li>\n<li>200 back &#8211; 1:47.92<\/li>\n<li>200 free &#8211; 1:42.81<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Hanna is a solid pickup for the Wolfpack and will join a talented backstroke group.\u00a0When he arrives on campus for the 2019-20 season, he will have one season to train with\u00a0<strong>Coleman Stewart<\/strong>, the ACC and NCAA champion in the 100 back.
