Rikako Ikee\u00a0<\/strong>also won her second gold medal of the meet on Monday night in Jakarta, Indonesia but she won her first individual gold medal with the 50 fly. Ikee swam a 25.55 to break the Games Record of 25.83 by\u00a0Lu Ying\u00a0<\/strong>of China from 2014. This is only the fourth time the 50 fly has been contested at the Games and it is the first gold medal for Japan as only Singapore (2) and China (1) have won golds.<\/p>\n

Ikee was the only to break 26 seconds in the final with\u00a0Wang Yichun\u00a0<\/strong>(26.03) and\u00a0Lin Xintong\u00a0<\/strong>(26.39) of China getting in the silver and bronze medal positions.<\/p>\n

South Korea had two in the final with\u00a0Park Yerin\u00a0<\/strong>(26.53) and\u00a0An Sehyeon\u00a0<\/strong>(26.67) getting fourth and fifth.<\/p>\n

Singapore’s\u00a0Ting Quah\u00a0<\/strong>(26.73), Taipei’s\u00a0Huang Meichien\u00a0<\/strong>(26.89) and Hong Kong’s\u00a0Kin Lok Chan\u00a0<\/strong>(27.22) also swam in the final.<\/p>\n
