Day two of the Asian Games is under way after a strong start to the meet on opening night.<\/p>\n

Two records fell on the first night of competition and swimmers from across the continent look to add to that list.<\/p>\n

Here is what is happening in today\u2019s preliminaries:<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 800 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n

With the fastest heat of the race during finals, the prelims still started strong for the home crowd in the 800 free as Indonesia\u2019s Aflah Fadlan Prawira<\/strong> won the heat in 8:03.87 to set a new mark for the home nation.<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 50 Fly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Japan\u2019s Rikako Ikee<\/strong> kept up her stellar season by taking the top seed in the 50 fly. She finished the prelims race in 25.91, more than a half second ahead of the field.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Xintong Lin<\/strong> took the second seed in 26.56, ahead of compatriot Yichun Wang<\/strong> (26.68).<\/p>\n

South Korea\u2019s Yerin Park<\/strong> took the fourth seed (26.72), followed by Chinese Taipei\u2019s Meichien Huang<\/strong> (26.98), Korea\u2019s Sehyeon An<\/strong> (27.01), and Hong Kong\u2019s Kin Lok Chan<\/strong> (27.24).<\/p>\n

Singapore\u2019s Ting Wen Quah<\/strong> (27.28) took the eighth seed, edging Jing Wen Quah<\/strong> (27.31).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 50 Back<\/strong><\/p>\n

Swimming in his home country, Indonesia\u2019s Gede Siman Sudartawa<\/strong> took the top seed in the men\u2019s 50 back, clocking a time of 25.01.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Jiayu Xu<\/strong> took the second spot at 25.12, followed by Japan\u2019s Ryosuke Irie<\/strong> (25.25), and Korea\u2019s Jiseok Kang<\/strong> (25.29).<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Peng Wang<\/strong> took the fifth seed (25.33), followed by Singapore\u2019s Zheng Wen Quah<\/strong> (25.54), Korea\u2019s Juho Lee<\/strong> (25.67) and Turkmenistan\u2019s Merdan Atayev<\/strong> (26.08).<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 100 Free<\/strong><\/p>\n

Rikako Ikee<\/strong> took her second top seed of the session when she cruised into the wall first during the prelims of the 100 free.<\/p>\n

The Japanese star clocked a time of 54.33.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Menghui Zhu<\/strong> took the second seed at 54.67, followed by Japan\u2019s Tomomi Aoki<\/strong> (55.57), China\u2019s Junxuan Yang<\/strong> (55.78) and Korea\u2019s Miso Ko<\/strong> (56.35).<\/p>\n

Jasmine Alkhaldi<\/strong> of the Philippines took the sixth seed at 56.38, followed by Hong Kong\u2019s Camile Cheng<\/strong> (56.47) and Thailand\u2019s Kornkarnjana Sapianchai<\/strong> (54.59).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Japan\u2019s Kosuke Hagino<\/strong> finished well ahead of the field to take the top seed in the 200 IM. He finished in 1:59.76, the only one to break 2 minutes in prelims.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Haiyang Qin<\/strong> took the second seed in 20:0.40, followed by compatriot Shun Wang<\/strong> (2:01.34).<\/p>\n

Japan\u2019s Daiya Seto<\/strong> took the fourth seed at 2:01.57, followed by Chinese Taipei\u2019s Hsinghao Wang<\/strong> (2:02.18), Hong Kong\u2019s Kenneth To<\/strong> (2:02.50), Singapore\u2019s Shen Jun Pang<\/strong> (2:02.64) and Indonesia\u2019s Triady Fauzi Sidiq<\/strong> (2:03.32).<\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 Breast<\/strong><\/p>\n

Japan\u2019s Kanako Watanabe<\/strong> closed the individual portion of the day\u2019s prelims with a dominating performance in the women\u2019s 200 breast.<\/p>\n

She finished a second and a half ahead of the rest of the field, clocking the top seed with a time of 2:27.05.<\/p>\n

China\u2019s Xinyu Zhang<\/strong> took the second seed at 2:28.48, followed by Japan\u2019s Reona Aoki<\/strong> (2:29.16) and China\u2019s Jingyao<\/strong> Yu <\/strong>(2:28.76).<\/p>\n

Korea\u2019s Suyeon Back<\/strong> took the fifth seed at 2:30.63, followed by Hong Kong\u2019s Jamie Yeung<\/strong> (2:32.05), Singapore\u2019s Samantha Yeo<\/strong> (2:33.74) and Chinese Taipei\u2019s Peiwun Lin<\/strong> (2:35.16).<\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 4×200 Free Relay<\/strong><\/p>\n

China cruised to a comfortable top seed in the men\u2019s 4×200 free relay. Ziao Qiu, Jinlong Hong, Yujie Hou<\/strong> and Zhiyong<\/strong> Qian<\/strong> took the top spot in 7:20.80.<\/p>\n

Korea took the second seed at 7:24.32, followed by Singapore (7:25.62), Japan (7:25.73), Vietnam (7:30.37), Chinese Taipei (7:31.61), India (7:34.69) and Hong Kong (7:43.57).<\/p>\n
