Georgia Tech swimming & diving will host a total of six regular season home meets, including the annual Georgia Tech Invitational, as part of a challenging 2018-19 schedule.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have put together a very challenging schedule again this season to continue to push our program to the next level,\u201d stated head coach\u00a0Courtney Shealy Hart<\/strong>. \u201cWe are excited about hosting a number of meets against ACC foes Notre Dame and Miami, as well as regional opponents in FGCU, SCAD and South Carolina. We are also thrilled to have Denver coming to The Flats this season as well. Our road schedule will be tough once again with meets at Florida State, FAU and Auburn, while both our Georgia Tech Invitational and the Auburn Invitational will have fields packed with nationally ranked teams.\u201d<\/p>\n The Yellow Jackets home slate consists of a quad-meet versus FGCU, SCAD and Miami (Oct. 19<\/span>) followed by an ACC tri-meet with both Miami and Notre Dame the next day (Oct. 20<\/span>). After the Georgia Tech Invitational (Nov. 15-17<\/span>), the Jackets will host dual meets versus South Carolina (Jan. 19<\/span>) and Denver (Jan. 25-26<\/span>) back-to-back weekends, before wrapping up its home schedule with the GT Last Chance Meet (March 8-9<\/span>) in March.<\/p>\n Tech\u2019s road contests includes a tri-meet at Florida State with both the Seminoles and Pittsburgh (Oct. 6<\/span>) and a dual meet at Auburn (Jan. 5<\/span>).<\/p>\n The Jackets will also be on the road for the inaugural ACC\/Big Ten Challenge (Nov. 10-11<\/span>), the USA Winter Nationals (Nov. 28-Dec. 1<\/span>), the FAU Invite (Dec. 20<\/span>), the Auburn Invite (Feb. 1-3<\/span>), the Bulldog Last Chance Meet (March 2-3<\/span>) and the American Short Course Championships (March 8-10<\/span>).<\/p>\n Both the women\u2019s and men\u2019s ACC Swimming & Diving Championships will again take place in Greensboro, N.C. with the women\u2019s championships set for\u00a0Feb. 20-23<\/span>\u00a0and the men\u2019s schedule to follow on Feb. 27-March 2.<\/p>\n The NCAA Zone B Diving Championships will take place on\u00a0March 11-13<\/span>\u00a0in Auburn, Ala., while the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships will be held in Austin, Texas on\u00a0March 20-23<\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0March 27-30<\/span>.<\/p>\n The Yellow Jackets will open up the season with the annual White vs. Gold intrasquad meet on\u00a0Sept. 28-29<\/span>.<\/p>\n The above press release was posted by Swimming World in conjunction with Georgia Tech Athletics<\/i>.
