SAN LUIS OBISPO, California, November 8. GREG Hind passed last Wednesday, October 31, at age 66 following a short illness. Hind is best known as the founder of Hind Performance and GH Sports. Hind Performance was founded in the early 1970s, and was an early leader in incorporating Lyrca fabric into athletic gear. <\/p>\n

Hind was also regarded as a talented water polo player in the 1960s. He won a gold medal in water polo at the 1967 Pan American Games. Prior to this, he was named Athlete of the Year in 1965 at Santa Clara Valley High School and was a three-time All-American at San Jose State.<\/p>\n

In his local community, Hind was a well-known philanthropist. In 2010, he was named the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce's Citizen on the Year. <\/p>\n
