The 26-year-old Russian took gold in the 50 breast with a time of 29.81, slower than the championship record of 29.66 she set in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Imogen Clark\u00a0<\/strong>delighted the home fans in Glasgow with a silver medal, touching in 30.34. Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Arianna Castiglioni\u00a0<\/strong>took bronze in 30.41, locking European record-holder\u00a0<strong>Ruta Meilutyte\u00a0<\/strong>of Lithuania off the podium by five-hundredths.
