The team of\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Stravius\u00a0<\/strong>(48.81),\u00a0<strong>Mehdy Metella\u00a0<\/strong>(47.45),\u00a0<strong>Marie Wattel\u00a0<\/strong>(53.47) and\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Bonnet\u00a0<\/strong>(52.34) combined to record a time of 3:22.07, smashing the championship record of 3:23.64 set by the Netherlands in 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnet recorded the fastest split by any female swimmer, while Metella&#8217;s split was the second-quickest among men, behind Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alessandro Miressi\u00a0<\/strong>(47.38).<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Nyls Jan Korstanje<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Stan Johannes Pinjenburg<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 3:24.50. Heemskerk paced the team with a 52.62 split.
