Sjostrom, who holds the world record at 51.71 and tied her own championship record at 52.67 in the semi-finals, went out quick and held on to win in 52.93.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Femke Heemskerk<\/strong> finished quickly to take silver in 53.23, followed by France&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Bonnet\u00a0<\/strong>for bronze in 53.35.<\/p>\n<p>Great Britain&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Freya Anderson<\/strong>, who has anchored two relays to gold this week, finished fourth in 53.61, smashing her own European junior record of 53.88.<\/p>\n<p>Italy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Federica Pellegrini<\/strong>, the world record-holder in the 200 free, finished fifth in her only individual final of the week, touching in 54.04.
