Each swim earns NISCA Power Points that are tallied to provide overall rankings.<\/p>\n<p>St. Xavier won the boys&#8217; race by 157 points over Carmel (IN) while Santa Margarita Catholic (CA) claimed both the girls&#8217; and overall team awards. Full results from the 2018 contest can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niscaonline.org\/aalists\/2018\/ppstats2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>AquaBombers Earn NISCA National Title in Record Fashion<\/h2>\n<p>For the fourth consecutive year the St. Xavier Swimming &amp; Diving team finished on top of the<br \/>\nNational Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association National dual meet rankings. It marks<br \/>\nthe tenth overall NISCA crown for St. X and the \u201cfour-peat\u201d is the first by any boys school in at<br \/>\nleast the last twenty years. Previous wins were recorded in 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008,<br \/>\n2015, 2016 and 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The Long Blue Lane racked up a records 6529 points to outdistance Carmel (IN) \u2013 6372, North<br \/>\nAllegheny (PA), Regis Jesuit (CO) \u2013 6065 and Southlake Carroll (TX) \u2013 6064.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so pleased and gratified that our guys stepped up, meet after meet, to accomplish<br \/>\nsomething very special for the program. This Championship defines quality depth and in our<br \/>\ncase a tremendous amount of focus, determination and commitment by the athletes, coaches and<br \/>\nfamilies involved. When you look at the list of heavy hitter teams from around the country who<br \/>\nare factors in the NISCA results, it further highlights the achievement,\u201d noted head coach <strong>Tim<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Beerman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The AquaBombers captured an Ohio record 39th State Championship in February. The margin of<br \/>\nvictory was the largest in Ohio boys swimming and diving history. St. X placed first in five<br \/>\nevents and picked up an additional five runner-ups to headline the scoring. St. Xavier is<br \/>\ncurrently tied with Lakewood St. Edward with 56 overall Ohio Team State Championships.<\/p>\n<h2>All-Americans Pace St. Xavier Swimming and Diving<\/h2>\n<p>All American honors were also presented by NISCA . Nine team members were part of this elite group.\u00a0The \u201cMen in Blue\u201d had at least one representative in all eleven swimming events.
