The team of\u00a0<strong>Calum Jarvis\u00a0<\/strong>(1:47.17),\u00a0<strong>Duncan Scott\u00a0<\/strong>(1:45.48),\u00a0<strong>Thomas Dean<\/strong> (1:47.07) and\u00a0<strong>James Guy\u00a0<\/strong>(1:45.60) combined to swim a time of 7:05.32. That broke the championship record of 7:06.71 set by Russia in 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Surprisingly, the British team swam almost five seconds slower than they did last year in winning a World title (7:01.80).\u00a0Dean replaced\u00a0<strong>Nicholas Grainger<\/strong> on this year&#8217;s team, while Scott (1:44.60 in Budapest) and Guy (1:43.80 last year) both split much slower.<\/p>\n<p>Russia claimed silver in 7:06.66 with\u00a0<strong>Mikhail Vekovishchev<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Martin Malyutin<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Danila Izotov<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Mikhail Dovgalyuk<\/strong>. The Russians missed\u00a0<strong>Aleksandr Krasnykh<\/strong> from last year&#8217;s team which claimed World Champs silver, and the team swam almost four seconds than last year&#8217;s time of 7:02.68.<\/p>\n<p>Italy&#8217;s <strong>Alessio Proietti Colonna<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Filippo Megli<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Matteo Campi\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>Mattia Zuin<\/strong> claimed bronze in 7:07.58.
