BURLINGTON, Vermont, October 20. JUNIOR Jenni Roberts (Sanford, Maine) broke a pool-record in the 200 IM at the University of Vermont en route to a 186-114 victory for the women's swimming and diving team over the Catamounts. The win improves New Hampshire to 2-0 on the year.<\/p>\n
The Wildcats took first place in 12 of 16 events at the meet. Roberts paced UNH with four first-place finishes, three of which were individual. The Maine native shattered a pool record in the 200 IM with a time of 2:06.21. She also touched the wall first in the 200-yard freestyle, the 100 free and the 400 free relay after swimming the final leg of the event.<\/p>\n
Katie Mann (Prince George, British Columbia) finished with the four victories, including in the 100-breast, the 200-back, the 200-breast and the 200-medley relay. Lauren McCandless (Macungie, Pa.) registered a pair of first-place finishes for the 'Cats in the 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard free. Other first-place finished for UNH included Jenna Bull (Woodstock, New Brunswick) in the 100-yard backstroke, Megan Suffel (Cornwall, Ontario) in the 100-yard butterfly and UNH's 400 freestyle relay team.<\/p>\n
Ellen Pelletier (West Hartford, Conn.) recorded a third place finish in the one-meter dive and a third place billing in the three meter, while Kyle Bonus (Philadelphia, Pa.) turned in a second place finish in the three-meter.<\/p>\n
