Two swimmers completed sweeps of the butterfly and breaststroke events, while other younger folks saw large margins of victory.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>After a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/richmond-futures-night-two-empire-swimming-leads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">third-place finish in the 100 LCM fly last night<\/a>, <strong>Morgan Miller<\/strong>\u00a0came back with a vengeance. She locked-in the 2018 Richmond Futures 200 fly title in 2:16.44, having dropped 1.20 seconds from her morning swim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ellen Brooks<\/strong> from Mariner Swim Club came in second with a time of 2:17.10.<\/p>\n<p>Third to touch was Conneticut Aquatic Club swimmer, <strong>Nell<\/strong> <strong>Chidley<\/strong>. Her time of 2:18.28 was faster than her prelims time by almost three seconds.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anna Phelps<\/strong>, one of the &#8220;youngsters&#8221; previously mentioned in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/jiang-and-other-youngsters-light-up-richmond-futures-psych-sheets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the psych sheet preview<\/a>, ended up finishing seventh in this event, clocking in at 2:20.41. Phelps was the youngest swimmer in the A-final by two years.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h3>\n<p>Tonight, <strong>James Huang<\/strong>\u00a0completed his sweep of both butterfly events here at Richmond Futures, finishing first with a time of 2:02.66.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/richmond-futures-night-two-empire-swimming-leads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">men&#8217;s 200 LCM freestyle bronze medalist<\/a> earned silver tonight in the 200 fly. <strong>Alexander (Lexo) Walker<\/strong> finished second, touching in 2:04.17.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing second in the men&#8217;s LCM 1500 free on the first night in Richmond, <strong>Matthew Bonnell<\/strong>\u00a0came in third in this event shortly after Walker. His time was 2:04.73.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Catherine Johnson<\/strong> from All Star Aquatics and East Carolina University was victorious in the women&#8217;s 50 LCM freestyle. She swam her race in 26.46.<\/p>\n<p>There was a tie for second-place between <strong>Nicole Venema<\/strong> and <strong>Lindsey Wagner<\/strong>. The two 17-year-olds both touched at exactly 26.52.<\/p>\n<p>Fordham University rising-senior, <strong>Tara Brunner<\/strong> finished fourth with a time of 26.61.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Scott Romeyn<\/strong> from Central Conneticut Aquatics Team swam his 50 LCM freestyle in 23.19; fast enough to win the event.<\/p>\n<p>Just three one-hundredths behind him (23.21) was <strong>Matthew Brownstead<\/strong> for second-place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Michael Blank<\/strong>, Yale Bulldog and Peddie Aquatic Association swimmer, touched third with a time of 23.43.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Alexandra McDaid<\/strong>, also from Peddie Aquatic Association, claimed first in the 200 LCM breaststroke after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/richmond-futures-night-two-empire-swimming-leads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">third-place finish in the 100 last night<\/a>. The LSU Tiger dropped over four seconds off of her prelims time to touch the wall at 2:37.73.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Clarissa Sabin<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/richmond-futures-night-two-empire-swimming-leads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 Richmond Futures 100 breaststroke champion<\/a>, finished second in the 200 tonight with a time of 2:39.58.<\/p>\n<p>Third-place went to <strong>Megan Bull<\/strong> for her 2:39.61.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Christopher Bondarowicz<\/strong> completed the second sweep of the night by winning his second breaststroke event. Bondarowicz&#8217;s margin of victory was far from small. His time of 2:18.62 was nearly four seconds faster than that of the second-place swimmer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harvey Culbert<\/strong> from Greater Columbus Swim Team in Ohio touched after Bondarowicz in at 2:22.43.<\/p>\n<p>Third to the wall was <strong>Jacob Haines<\/strong>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/nyu-lands-commitment-from-sjacs-jake-haines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYU class of 2022 commit<\/a> clocked in at 2:23.14.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p>&#8220;Youngster&#8221; <strong>Natalie Mannion<\/strong> claimed a solid win in the women&#8217;s 100 LCM backstroke. Hitting the wall in 1:03.33, she was almost a second ahead of the next finisher, <strong>Sadie Runeman<\/strong> (1:04.24). Mannion (14) and Runeman (15) were the two youngest swimmers in tonight&#8217;s A-final.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Haley Sutton<\/strong> finished third with a time of 1:04.48.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Zachary Bishop<\/strong> from Towson University won the men&#8217;s 100 LCM backstroke as the only swimmer to dip under 58 (57.97).<\/p>\n<p>Quest Swimming&#8217;s <strong>Elijah Tarabocchia<\/strong> finished second with a time of 58.29.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Colin Mackellar<\/strong>, representing Panther Aquatic Club, came in third less than two-tenths of a second (58.44) behind Tarabocchia.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free<\/h3>\n<p>14-year-old <strong>Jill Berger<\/strong> clawed her way up from her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/jiang-and-other-youngsters-light-up-richmond-futures-psych-sheets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">initial fifth-place seed<\/a> to win the women&#8217;s 400 LCM freestyle. Her time of 4:20.81 was almost three seconds ahead of the rest of her competition.<\/p>\n<p>After finishing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/richmond-futures-night-two-empire-swimming-leads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">second in the 200 freestyle<\/a>, <strong>Sophia Kudryashova<\/strong> claimed silver in the 400 as well (4:23.63).<\/p>\n<p>University of Florida commit, <strong>Tylor Mathieu<\/strong>, came in third with a\u00a0 time of 4:24.57.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 400 Free<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Zachary Washart<\/strong> won the title of 400 LCM freestyle champion with a time of 4:01.96.<\/p>\n<p>About a second later (4:02.83), Bonnell swam for silver in the final event of the night.<\/p>\n<p>Rounding out third was<strong> James Plage<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/night-one-of-richmond-futures-empire-swimming-sweeps-800-free-relays\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">1500 freestyle champion<\/a>, who clocked in at 4:03.06.<\/p>\n<h3>Overall Team Scores After Night Three<\/h3>\n<p>1.
