Sjostrom hit the wall in 23.74, seven-hundredths off her own world record of 23.67. She broke Blume&#8217;s championship record of 23.85 from the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Blume finished one-hundredth behind in 23.75, moving past\u00a0<strong>Cate Campbell\u00a0<\/strong>(23.78) as the third-fastest swimmer in history behind Sjostrom and\u00a0<strong>Britta Steffen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Ranomi Kromowidjojo<\/strong>, the 2012 Olympic gold medalist in both the 50 and 100 free, took bronze in 24.21.<\/p>\n<p>Russians\u00a0<strong>Mariia Kameneva\u00a0<\/strong>(24.40) and\u00a0<strong>Rozaliya Nasretdinova\u00a0<\/strong>(25.04) took fourth and fifth, respectively, followed by the Netherlands&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Tamara Van Vliet\u00a0<\/strong>(25.11), Greece&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Theodora Drakou\u00a0<\/strong>(25.14) and Lithuania&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ruta Meilutyte\u00a0<\/strong>(25.16).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-attachment-id=\"323709\"
