{"id":322741,"date":"2018-07-31T10:05:31","date_gmt":"2018-07-31T17:05:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=322741"},"modified":"2018-07-31T07:06:20","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T14:06:20","slug":"gary-taylor-announces-schedule-for-2018-19-season-at-auburn","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/gary-taylor-announces-schedule-for-2018-19-season-at-auburn\/","title":{"rendered":"Gary Taylor Announces Schedule For 2018-19 Season At Auburn"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Gary Taylor<\/strong> has finalized the 2018-19 competition schedule for his first season as head coach of Auburn Swimming and Diving, stacking the season with multiple challenging dual meets and a mid-November invitational in Atlanta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI\u2019m really excited about the upcoming schedule,\u201d Taylor said. \u201cIt offers some great competition and it allows us to get out of our comfort zone and perform against elite level programs that will prepare us and make us race-ready as we look towards the SEC and NCAA Championships at the end of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Auburn women will compete in seven dual meets while the men will compete in six. Both teams will also take part in the ultra-competitive Georgia Tech Invitational in Atlanta,\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312975\">Nov. 15-17<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auburn will travel to three dual meets in the fall, going to Virginia for a two-day meet\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312976\">Oct. 26-27<\/span>, facing Tennessee on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312977\">Nov. 9<\/span>\u00a0in Knoxville and Alabama on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312978\">Dec. 7<\/span>in Tuscaloosa.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auburn will host four dual meets at the Martin Aquatics Center, playing host to Florida Gulf Coast in a women\u2019s only meet on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312979\">Oct. 20<\/span>\u00a0and then Georgia Tech (<span data-term=\"goog_232312980\">Jan. 5<\/span>), Texas (<span data-term=\"goog_232312981\">Jan. 10<\/span>) and Florida (<span data-term=\"goog_232312982\">Jan. 26<\/span>) over the course of three weeks in January.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Auburn\u2019s divers will add the Georgia Invite (<span data-term=\"goog_232312983\">Nov. 28-Dec. 1<\/span>) and the Auburn Diving Invite (<span data-term=\"goog_232312984\">Dec. 17-20<\/span>) to their schedule.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The SEC Championships will be held in Athens, Ga.,\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312985\">Feb. 19-23<\/span>. Auburn will once again play host to the Zone B Diving Championships,\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312986\">Mar. 11-13<\/span>. The NCAA Championships will take place at the Jamail Texas Swimming Center in Austin, with the women competing\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312987\">Mar. 20-23<\/span>\u00a0and the men\u00a0<span
