{"id":322739,"date":"2018-07-31T07:30:19","date_gmt":"2018-07-31T14:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=322739"},"modified":"2018-07-31T06:54:36","modified_gmt":"2018-07-31T13:54:36","slug":"university-of-iowa-release-2018-19-schedule-that-includes-hosting-mens-big-ten-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/university-of-iowa-release-2018-19-schedule-that-includes-hosting-mens-big-ten-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"University of Iowa Release 2018-19 Schedule That Includes Hosting Men&#8217;s Big Ten Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The University of Iowa swimming and diving team released the details of its 2018-19 men\u2019s and women\u2019s schedules, it was announced Monday by head coach Marc Long.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hawkeyes will bring back the Hawkeye Invitational in 2018 before serving as the host institution for the men&#8217;s 2019 Big Ten Championships at the Campus Recreation and Wellness Center Natatorium.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong><u>Schedule Highlights:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hawkeyes will kick off the season in East Lansing, Michigan, for a Big Ten dual against Michigan State on\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312921\">Sept. 27<\/span>.\u00a0 The home opener &#8212; the annual Intrasquad Meet &#8212; will take place\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312922\">Sept. 29<\/span>.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After a year hiatus, the Hawkeye Invitational returns to the team&#8217;s schedule. Iowa will host the competition from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312923\">Nov. 15-17<\/span>\u00a0at the CRWC.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The annual Iowa Corn Cy-Hawk Series matchup against Iowa State will be held\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312924\">Dec. 7<\/span>\u00a0in Iowa City.\u00a0 The Hawkeye women have won eight straight duals in the series.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select Hawkeyes will compete in the SMU Classic in Dallas from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312925\">Oct. 12-13<\/span>\u00a0and the ACC\/B1G Swimming &amp; Diving Challenge from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312926\">Nov. 9-11<\/span>\u00a0in West Lafayette, Indiana.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The women&#8217;s Big Ten Championships will be held in Bloomington, Indiana, from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312927\">Feb. 20-23<\/span>, while the men&#8217;s Big Ten Championships will be\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312928\">one week later<\/span>\u00a0in Iowa City from\u00a0<span data-term=\"goog_232312929\">Feb. 27-Mar. 2<\/span>.
