FOR this week&#039;s poll, we want to get your thoughts on what USA Swimming&#039;s role should be in acting on reports of sexual misconduct reported from before the organization came to be. With the recent news of a former North Baltimore coach being accused of sexual misconduct in 1975, USA Swimming has said that the organization has no jurisdiction over the case, but that it alerted the authorities in Baltimore. With USA Swimming taking action recently with their Safe Sport program, do you think it should take action against reports of sexual misconduct before its existence, or not? Go to <a href=http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/poll target=\"_blank\">swimmingworldmagazine.com\/poll<\/a> to vote.<\/p>\n<p>With the college season officially underway with several of the top teams already racing, we wanted to know which male freshman in Division I competition will be the top performer this season. It appears Georgia freshman Matias Koski has a large fan following, as he garnered the most votes in the poll with 43.11 percent. Koski will be a great contributor for the Bulldogs in the middle distance and distance events. Placing second in the poll was backstroke Jacob Pebley, who is going to score big points for California this season. Chase Kalisz was third with 18.67 percent. Kalisz is sitting out this semester at Georgia to retake a class that turned out to not be allowed for credit, but when he reports to Athens in January, expect him to do very well.
