That is just over a tenth off of <\/span><b>Kevin Cordes&#8217;\u00a0<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">American record in the event, and the 19-year-old will have another crack at tonight as the top seed. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That swim will come in the middle of a triple for Andrew, who will start off his night of finals in the 100 fly, where he is the third seed in 51.98, before hitting back to back swims in the 50 breast and 50 back. Andrew is also tied as the third seed in the 50 back with NC State\u2019s <\/span><b>Ryan Held<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (24.59), behind veteran <\/span><b>Matt Grevers <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(24.53). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, NC State\u2019s <\/span><b>Justin Ress <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">could be threatening the American record in the 50 back from the middle lane tonight. He rattled the record in the morning, swimming a 24.46 that was just off <\/span><b>Randall Ball\u2019s <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2008 American record of 24.33.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also of note, <\/span><b>Chase Kalisz <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Caeleb Dressel <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will have a chance to qualify for Pan Pacs after surprise misses in their opening events of the meet, while <\/span><b>Lilly King <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be looking for redemption in the 50 breast after finishing fifth in the 200 breast last night. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Heat sheets have been posted for tonight\u2019s session, and you can follow along tonight with <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swimming World\u2019s <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">live coverage.
