THE second day of competition at the Dubai stop of the FINA World Cup will feature more dashes for cash among some of the top professional swimmers around the world.<\/p>\n<p>Leading the way after one day of swimming is Hungary&#039;s Katinka Hosszu on the women&#039;s side and Japan&#039;s Daiya Seto in the men&#039;s division. Hosszu won three events and placed third in another to collect US$5,000 so far. Seto collected a gold and two silvers today, earning $3,500.<\/p>\n<p>Hosszu could swim an astounding four events today: 400 free, 400 IM, 200 fly and 200 breast. Top three finishes in all four events could give the former University of Southern California NCAA champion a big lead in the standings &#8212; and an additional $6,000. Even in Los Angeles, that can take care of rent for a few months!<\/p>\n<p>Chad Le Clos, last year&#039;s overall winner in the men&#039;s division, stands third in the points and money rankings behind Seto and Australia&#039;s Kenneth To. Le Clos appears to be taking on a lighter schedule this year. At the 2011 meet, Le Clos was a perfect 6-for-6 in events, but is only signed up for the three butterfly events this year. So far, he&#039;s amassed a gold and silver in the 200 butterfly and 50 butterfly, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Ervin&#039;s doing well, collecting $1,000 so far.
