Louisville’s\u00a0Kelsi Dahlia\u00a0<\/strong>moved to fourth in the world rankings in the 100 fly heats on Friday morning at the 2018 Phillips 66 USA Swimming National Championships in Irvine. Dahlia swam a 56.86 in her heat to sit just behind\u00a0Rikako Ikee\u00a0<\/strong>(56.23),\u00a0Sarah Sjostrom\u00a0<\/strong>(56.29) and\u00a0Emma McKeon\u00a0<\/strong>(56.61).<\/p>\n

Dahlia is well in front of the rest of the field as\u00a0Kendyl Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>is the second seed for tonight with a 57.97 and\u00a0Katie McLaughlin\u00a0<\/strong>(58.04) is the third seed.<\/p>\n

The United States needs a solid second 100 butterflyer behind Dahlia as Stewart is only 16th in the 2018 World Rankings with that swim.<\/p>\n

Last year,\u00a0Sarah Gibson\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in the 100 fly behind Dahlia and she is the fourth seed for tonight at 58.09.<\/p>\n

Mallory Comerford\u00a0<\/strong>(58.32),\u00a0Hellen Moffitt\u00a0<\/strong>(58.56),\u00a0Dakota Luther\u00a0<\/strong>(58.58) and\u00a0Veronica Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>(58.62) also made it to tonight’s championship final.<\/p>\n

Big A-Final misses came from\u00a0Regan Smith\u00a0<\/strong>in 10th (58.83) and\u00a0Amanda Kendall\u00a0<\/strong>in 9th (58.79).\u00a0Erika Brown\u00a0<\/strong>was 13th at 59.12.<\/p>\n
