{"id":319635,"date":"2018-07-19T10:00:04","date_gmt":"2018-07-19T17:00:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/?p=319635"},"modified":"2018-07-19T09:27:46","modified_gmt":"2018-07-19T16:27:46","slug":"brazil-peru-and-argentina-announce-rosters-for-2018-south-american-championships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/news\/brazil-peru-and-argentina-announce-rosters-for-2018-south-american-championships\/","title":{"rendered":"Brazil, Peru, and Argentina Announce Rosters For 2018 South American Championships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The teams for Brazil, Argentina, and Peru have all been announced for the upcoming 2018 South American Championships, according to <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bestswim.com.br\/2018\/07\/13\/brasil-argentina-e-peru-escalados-para-o-sul-americano-absoluto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">a story<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that appeared on the Brazilian website Best Swimming. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The South American Championships are held every other year and will take place from November 8-12 in Trujillo, Peru. While the meet will be two months after the Pan Pacific Championships, the Brazilian roster does not include any athletes who are competing at those Games. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Notably, two major Brazilian sprinters, <\/span><b>Cesar Cielo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><b>Bruno Fratus<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, will not be competing in either event.
