Sixteen-year-old <strong>Kaitlyn Dobler <\/strong>won two individual events to highlight the final day of competition, increasing her total gold medal count of the weekend up to six.<\/p>\n<p>Full results can be found on Meet Mobile \u2013 2018 Speedo Sectionals \u2013 Mt Hood.<\/p>\n<h2>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h2>\n<p>1. Scottsdale Aquatic Club \u2013 2293<br \/>\n2. Boise YMCA Swim Team \u2013 1587<br \/>\n3. Phoenix Swim Club \u2013 1553<br \/>\n4. Tualatin Hills Swim Club \u2013 1381<br \/>\n5. RallySport Aquatic Club \u2013 966.5<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p>The final day of competition saw a lot of new lifetime bests, and the swimmers in the women\u2019s 1500 free field dropped plenty of seconds. Sweet Home\u2019s <strong>Lucia Davis<\/strong>, who also won the 800 free, held consistent splits and dropped 21 seconds to win the event in 17:08.17.<\/p>\n<p>Fourteen-year-old <strong>Mia Rankin <\/strong>of Phoenix knocked off 20 seconds to take second in 17:10.77 while Foothills\u2019 <strong>Kathryn Shanley <\/strong>swam a new best by six seconds to finish third in 17:19.28.<\/p>\n<p>Also finishing in the top eight were Corvallis\u2019 <strong>Lindsey Soule <\/strong>(17:30.48), Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Hayley Hill <\/strong>(17:30.64), Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Irena Putikova <\/strong>(17:36.58), Boise Y\u2019s <strong>Mata Knutson <\/strong>(17:42.39) and Flatiron\u2019s <strong>Karla Lessing <\/strong>(17:44.51).Men\u2019s 1500 Free<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Just like in the women\u2019s mile, the men\u2019s 1500 free saw plenty of huge time drops as well. Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Ellis Bohon<\/strong>, who also won the 800 free earlier this weekend, saw a new lifetime best by 21 seconds to finish first in 16:11.23.<\/p>\n<p>Boise Y\u2019s <strong>Gabriel Machado <\/strong>took of 11 seconds to finish second in 16:13.01 while Mesa\u2019s <strong>Kyle Benjamin <\/strong>dropped 30 seconds to finish third in 16:21.25.<\/p>\n<p>South Davis\u2019 <strong>Brandon Shreeve <\/strong>(16:26.72), RallySport\u2019s <strong>Yoelvis Pedraza <\/strong>(16:31.98), Wasatch\u2019s <strong>Luke Harris <\/strong>(16:38.57), Mesa\u2019s <strong>Daniel Brooks <\/strong>(16:42.90) and Mount Hood\u2019s <strong>Justin Louge <\/strong>(16:48.33) also posted top-eight finishes.<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 200 IM<\/h2>\n<p>The Dolphins Portland\u2019s <strong>Kaitlyn Dobler <\/strong>collected her fifth individual title of the meet, this time in the women\u2019s 200 IM. She dropped three seconds from her morning swim to post a new personal best time of 2:18.90.<\/p>\n<p>Lake Oswego\u2019s <strong>Eleanor Jew <\/strong>finished second in 2:21.20 while Phoenix\u2019s <strong>Sydney Carlson <\/strong>took a close third in 2:21.37.<\/p>\n<p>Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Riley Courtney <\/strong>(2:21.47), Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Sadie Edwards <\/strong>(2:21.53), Boise Y\u2019s <strong>Charity Pittard <\/strong>(2:21.55), Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Ashley Strouse <\/strong>(2:22.51) and Flatiron\u2019s <strong>Mary Codeville <\/strong>(2:24.56) completed the top heat.<\/p>\n<h2>Men\u2019s 200 IM<\/h2>\n<p>Splitting a 26.71 on the fly leg, <strong>Hiromasa Fujimori <\/strong>had the lead from the start and never let it go. The men\u2019s 200 IM was his fourth individual victory of the meet, where he won in a final time of 2:01.07.<\/p>\n<p>His younger brother <strong>Takeharu Fujimori <\/strong>finished a second behind him in 2:02.20 while Westside\u2019s <strong>Jaden Nabor <\/strong>took third in 2:05.32.<\/p>\n<p>Phoenix\u2019s <strong>Zachary Tan <\/strong>(2:05.51), J Swim\u2019s <strong>Matt Salig <\/strong>(2:07.18), Multnomah\u2019s <strong>Kevin Keil <\/strong>(2:09.09), Boise Y\u2019s <strong>Jackson Cunningham <\/strong>(2:10.57) and Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Matthew Leblanc <\/strong>(2:11.83) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women\u2019s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>No stranger to the top of the podium, Dobler found herself with the gold medal for the second time tonight \u2013 and the sixth time this weekend. She won the women\u2019s 50 free by nearly a full second in 25.56 as the only swimmer under the 26-second mark.<\/p>\n<p>Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Greer Pattison <\/strong>earned the silver in 26.52 while <strong>Emi Moronuki <\/strong>swam her way to the bronze in a close 26.56.<\/p>\n<p>Finishing fourth through eighth were Bainbridge Island\u2019s <strong>Eleanor Beers <\/strong>(26.70), RallySport\u2019s <strong>Josiane Valette <\/strong>(26.71), Westside\u2019s <strong>Olivia Bishop <\/strong>(26.74), Spokane Wave\u2019s <strong>Evonne Stehr <\/strong>(26.86) and Strousse (27.05).<\/p>\n<h2>Men\u2019s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Denver\u2019s <strong>Sidney Farber <\/strong>powered his way to the men\u2019s 50 free title in addition to his 100 free win earlier this meet. He was the only swimmer under the 23-second mark, stopping the clock in a quick 22.55.<\/p>\n<p>His teammate <strong>Kyle Robrock <\/strong>took second in 23.49 while Scottsdale\u2019s <strong>Parker Hughes <\/strong>wound up a close third in 23.52.<\/p>\n<p>Denver\u2019s <strong>Cameron Auchinachie <\/strong>(23.78), Denver\u2019s <strong>Robin Kuebler <\/strong>(23.78), Mesa\u2019s <strong>Tai Combs <\/strong>(23.89), <strong>Jackson Gainer <\/strong>(23.90) and Boise Y\u2019s <strong>Luke Yost <\/strong>(24.04) completed the top heat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a fast fourth day of the 2018 Speedo Sectionals Series in Mt.
