Missouri State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paul Le\u00a0<\/strong>earned his fourth individual victory of the weekend while Club Husker swam away with the team title.<\/p>\n<p>Full results can be found on Meet Mobile \u2013 2018 Region VIII Summer Sectionals.<\/p>\n<h3>Top 5 Team Scores:<\/h3>\n<p>1. Club Husker &#8211; 1701<br \/>\n2. Scarlet &#8211; 1395.5<br \/>\n3. Missouri &#8211; 1319<br \/>\n4. Kansas City Blazers &#8211; 1191.5<br \/>\n5. Rockwood &#8211; 1008<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abigail<\/strong> <strong>Kilgallon<\/strong>, who won the women&#8217;s 800 free on night one,\u00a0dominated the 1500 free to begin the fourth and final day of competition. She dropped three seconds from her seed time to win in 16:55.55, 21 seconds ahead of the field.<\/p>\n<p>Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kate McCarville\u00a0<\/strong>knocked 13 seconds from her entry time to take second in 17:16.58 while\u00a0SwimTulsa\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Liberty\u00a0<\/strong><b>Howell\u00a0<\/b>dropped 15 seconds to place third in 17:18.96.<\/p>\n<p>Club Husker\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Powers\u00a0<\/strong>(17:30.67), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kaylyn Flatt\u00a0<\/strong>(17:34.40), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Corey Moon\u00a0<\/strong>(17:38.64),\u00a0Wichita\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Katelyn Blattner\u00a0<\/strong>(17:41.63) and Tideriders&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Joanna\u00a0<\/strong><b>Dohrman\u00a0<\/b>(17:44.05) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Antonio Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>added the men&#8217;s 1500 free title in addition to his 400 free win from earlier this weekend. He was the sole swimmer under the 16-minute barrier, getting to the wall first in 15:55.03.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Iorizzio\u00a0<\/strong>in 16:06.98 while\u00a0Jonesboro\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jack Little\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed third in 16:25.69.<\/p>\n<p>Trident&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Callan\u00a0<\/strong>(16:35.12), Scarlet&#8217;s <strong>Zach Hu\u00a0<\/strong>(16:44.69), Empire&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Karold Tjaden\u00a0<\/strong>(16:48.07), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Choi\u00a0<\/strong>(16:48.54) and\u00a0Arkansas Dolphins\u2019\u00a0<strong>Vincent Jaworski\u00a0<\/strong>(16:50.37) completed the final heat.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h2>\n<p>After finishing second in the women&#8217;s 50 back at the beginning of the meet, Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Thompson\u00a0<\/strong>found herself on top of the podium in the 100 back. She finished in a final time of 1:03.89 after posting a lifetime best of 1:03.36 during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan McCafferty\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Huntsville\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kobie Melton\u00a0<\/strong>tied for second place after both posting a time of 1:04.22.<\/p>\n<p>Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabelle Clark\u00a0<\/strong>(1:04.84), American Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kellie Fischer\u00a0<\/strong>(1:04.85), Aquakids&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Allie Rogers\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.11), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lindsey Helferich\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.18) and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Wilts\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.38) also raced in the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paul Le\u00a0<\/strong>concluded a dominate meet with a win in the men&#8217;s 100 back &#8211; his fourth individual title of the weekend. He won by 2.5 seconds in a final time of 55.78.<\/p>\n<p>Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>swam to second in 58.23 while Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Trevor Halliburton\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 58.37.<\/p>\n<p>Also swimming in the final flight were Sooner\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Aiden Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>(58.47),\u00a0Arkansas Dolphins\u2019\u00a0<strong>Thomas Heye\u00a0<\/strong>(58.54),\u00a0Elkhorn\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Patterson\u00a0<\/strong>(59.39), Wichita&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Patton\u00a0<\/strong>(59.46) and Sappy County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Barr\u00a0<\/strong>(1:01.92).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h2>\n<p>Not too long after finishing second in the women&#8217;s 1500 free, McCarville was back in the pool to win a close 200 IM race. The 15-year-old used a strong back half to take the title in 2:19.39, just out-touching the runner-up.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Nebraska\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Theil\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 2:19.57 while Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allison Kopas\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 2:19.69.<\/p>\n<p>Splash Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Haley Downey\u00a0<\/strong>(2:20.46), Splash Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katherine Steward\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.53), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>(2:23.19),\u00a0<strong>Luciana Thomas\u00a0<\/strong>(2:23.87) and Missouri State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Josie Pearson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:25.09) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 IM<\/h2>\n<p>A few minutes after posting a seventh-place showing in the men&#8217;s 100 back,\u00a0Patton dove in again to swim to victory in the 200 IM. He got his hand to the wall first in 2:07.68, a new lifetime best by two seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Columbia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Lorson\u00a0<\/strong>was the runner-up in 2:09.22 while Barr finished third overall in a time of 2:09.63.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conner Funke\u00a0<\/strong>(2:11.45), Kansas City Blazer&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Downing\u00a0<\/strong>(2:11.57), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Park\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.48) and Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Scheuermann\u00a0<\/strong>(2:18.51) also swam in the fastest heat.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>After recording a second-place finish in the 100 free on night one,\u00a0Wichita\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Megan Keil\u00a0<\/strong>was victorious in the 50 free on night four. She stopped the clock in 26.05 for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Thompson and Rockwood&#8217;s <strong>Anna Miller\u00a0<\/strong>tied for second, both finishing in 26.34.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Iliana Jones\u00a0<\/strong>(26.36),\u00a0Arkansas\u2019\u00a0<strong>Kiera Michailoff-Russell\u00a0<\/strong>(26.38), North Shore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maggie\u00a0Summit\u00a0<\/strong>(26.49),\u00a0Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Erin Kelly\u00a0<\/strong>(27.16) and Rec Plex&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Courtney Harris\u00a0<\/strong>(27.31) completed the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Flyers\u2019\u00a0<strong>Samuel Heveroh\u00a0<\/strong>earned the gold in the men&#8217;s 50 free to conclude the meet, powering home to a time of 23.24.\u00a0He also won the 100 free on the first night of competition.<\/p>\n<p>The silver medal went to Dolan in 23.56 while bronze went to Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Carter Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>in 23.70.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth through eighth went to Wichita&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hugh McPherson\u00a0<\/strong>(24.06), Berzerker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Hines\u00a0<\/strong>(24.07),\u00a0Norfolk\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Cameron Carney\u00a0<\/strong>(24.19), Club North&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant Sloan\u00a0<\/strong>(24.36) and\u00a0Enid\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jason Schroeder\u00a0<\/strong>(24.43).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It was a fast final day at the 2018 Speedo Sectionals in Jenks, Okla.
