Among the Aggie champs was 2-time Junior National Champion and future Texas Longhorn <\/span><b>Julia Cook<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, who<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">achieved her second individual victory of the meet in the 100 back after taking the 100 free Thursday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The winning boost from the Aggie women extended their lead in the rankings putting them at 408 points. Longhorn Aquatics remains in second at 320 point and Austin Swim Club sits in third at 152 points, only six points ahead of Rice Aquatics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the men\u2019s side, Longhorn Aquatics continues to have a substantial lead the rankings at 433 points. In second place are the Alamo men at 204 points and Nitro Swimming is third at 164 points. Just two points behind in fourth place is Austin Swim Club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Results can be found on Meet Mobile under \u201c2018 ST TXLA Speedo Southern Sectionals&#8221; or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-austin-speedo-sectionals-day-three-results-day-3\/usa-age-group\/2018\/July\/12?rtn=%2Fresults%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">click here to view full results for the evening.\u00a0<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women\u2019s 100 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Aggie\u2019s Cook won the first final of the night with a time of 1:01.34, almost two seconds ahead of top three finishers Houston\u2019s <\/span><b>Laura Laderoute <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:03.20) and Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Kaitlin Harty <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:03.37). <\/span><b>Sara Metzsch<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, another Aggie swimmer, finished in fourth at 1:03.53.<\/span><b> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Crawfish\u2019s <\/span><b>Stephanie Nelson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (1:03.89), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Ashley Pollok <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:04.30), Nitro\u2019s <\/span><b>Brittany Thompson<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (1:04.49), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Jordan Wheeler <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:04.61) also raced in the top heat.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Men\u2019s 100 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Joshua Artmann<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, swimming unattached for Austin Swim Club, won with a time of 55.86. Taking advantage of the scratch into the A-final,<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tiger\u2019s <\/span><b>Karl Luht <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took second at 56.00. Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Braxton Moore <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">also finished in the top three at 56.43.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rounding out the championship final was Tiger\u2019s <\/span><b>Matthew Klotz <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(56.48),<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">unattached <\/span><b>Preston Varozza<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (57.44), Eagle\u2019s <\/span><b>Steven Richards<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (57.57), and Longhorn teammates <\/span><b>Luke Bowman<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (58.12) and <\/span><b>Coby Carrozza<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (58.87).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women\u2019s 400 Free<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Joy Field <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">was the second Aggie champ of the night, winning the event at 4:18.12. Also under the 4:20 mark, Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Logan Shiller <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took second at 4:18.92. Austin\u2019s <\/span><b>Quinn Schaedler<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (4:20.72) and Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Ella Tierney <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:20.90) finished shortly after.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Three more Aggie swimmers, <\/span><b>Karling Hemstreet <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:21.33), <\/span><b>Sara Metzsch <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:23.33), and <\/span><b>Audrey McMurry<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (4:23.84), also raced in the top heat. Crawfish\u2019s <\/span><b>Jolee Liles<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (4:26.30) capped off the top eight.<\/span><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>Men\u2019s 400 Free<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Zachary Yeadon<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of the Alamo Area Aquatic Association took the victory by over five seconds with a time of 3:53.41. Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Christopher Yeager <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">also broke four minutes with a time of 3:58.78. Magnolia\u2019s <\/span><b>Lucas Stuart <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">took third with a time of 4:00.48.<\/span><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Other championship finalists included Austin\u2019s <\/span><b>Clark Wakeland <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:01.09), Badger\u2019s <\/span><b>Jack Collins<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (4:01.59), Rockwall\u2019s <\/span><b>Ford Blaylock<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (4:01.89), North Texas\u2019s <\/span><b>David Hallaron <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:02.30), and Tiger\u2019s <\/span><b>Mason Nyboer <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(4:09.94).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women\u2019s 100 Fly<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><b>Beryl Gastaldello <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">continued the Aggie winning streak by winning the 100 fly, clocking in a 59.47.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Lauren Case<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> also broke a minute and came in second with 59.95. Teammate <\/span><b>Emily Reese<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> also took top three with a time of 1:00.58.<\/span><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lakeside\u2019s <\/span><b>Katherine Zenick <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:01.13), Aggie\u2019s <\/span><b>Taylor Pike <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:01.16) and <\/span><b>Raena Eldridge <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:01.36), unattached <\/span><b>Emma Carlton <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:01.40), and Tiger\u2019s <\/span><b>Helen Grossman <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(1:01.90) capped off the top eight.<\/span><b>\u00a0 \u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<h3><b>Men\u2019s 100 Fly<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Nation\u2019s Capital went 1-2-3 in the last individual of the night with <\/span><b>Jack Conger <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">taking his second victory of the meet at 51.34. NCAP teammates <\/span><b>John Shebat <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(52.59) and <\/span><b>Sam Pomajevich (<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">53.40) completed the top three sweep.<\/span><b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Finishing top eight were Aggie\u2019s <\/span><b>Shaine Casas<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (53.71), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span><b>Jacob Huerta<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (53.73), unattached <\/span><b>Bryce Bohman<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (53.93), Lakeside\u2019s <\/span><b>Alvin Jiang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (54.82), and Aggie\u2019s <\/span><b>Adam Koster<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (55.38).<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Women\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Taking the title at 3:53.86 was the Rockwall Aquatics foursome of <\/span><b>Amanda Armstrong <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(58.06), <\/span><b>Alaya Smith <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(58.83), <\/span><b>Amelia Warren<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (59.06), and <\/span><b>Emma Hultquist <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(57.91).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The runner-up relay went to Austin Trinity (3:54.15) and third place went to Austin Swim Club (3:54.51). Austin\u2019s anchor, 16-year-old Schaedler, split a 55.85, which is three-tenths under the winning time of Thursday\u2019s 100 free final.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Men\u2019s 400 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Austin Swim Club relay of <\/span><b>Samuel Artmann<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (52.37), <\/span><b>Niccolo Velasquez<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (53.97), <\/span><b>Jaden Luo<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (52.80), and <\/span><b>Clark Wakeland<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (53.33) won the final event of the evening with a time of 3:32.47.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Capping off the top three was Premier Aquatics (3:33.17) and Nitro Swimming (3:33.75).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The final day of competition resumes tomorrow with the 200 IM, women\u2019s 800 free, men\u2019s 1500 free, 50 free, and 400 medley relay.
