Three individual champions won their respective events by over three second margins as well as exceptional performances from powerhouses Longhorn Aquatics and Aggie Swim Club at the opening night of finals at the Austin Speedo Sectionals..<\/span><\/p>\n

In the men\u2019s team rankings, Longhorn Aquatics comfortably sits in first place with 216 points. Over hundred points behind are the North Texas Nadadores and Alamo Aquatic Association, both with 97 points.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the women\u2019s side, Aggie Swim Club is in the lead with 176 points, yet 22 points behind in second are the Longhorn Aquatics. Tied for third at 80 points is Austin Swim Club and Unattached South Texas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n

Winning the first final of the night was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Quinn Carrozza<\/b>, clocking in at 2:10.47. Taking second was Magnolia\u2019s <\/span>Lucie Nordmann<\/b> (2:11.90) and third was Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Lisa Bratton<\/b> (2:13.28).<\/span><\/p>\n

Rounding off the top eight was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Genevieve Pfeifer <\/b>(2:14.81), unattached <\/span>Claire Adams <\/b>(2:15.62), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Kaitlyn Harty<\/b> (2:15.99), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Karling Hemstreet\u00a0<\/b>(2:17.09), and unattached <\/span>Maxine Wolters<\/b> (2:17.63).<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 200 Back<\/b><\/h3>\n

Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Austin Katz<\/b> scratch from tonight\u2019s finals gave way for <\/span>William Grant<\/b> of Heart of Texas Aquatics to take the title with a time of 2:01.19. Finishing over three seconds later was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Colter Carman <\/b>(2:04.35), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Braxton Moore<\/b> (2:05.01), and Cypress Fairbank\u2019s <\/span>Elliott Moore<\/b> (2:05.47). <\/span><\/p>\n

Topping off the top eight was Lakeshore\u2019s <\/span>Johan Pretorius<\/b> (2:07.12), unattached <\/span>Stephen Chang<\/b> (2:07.92), Nitro\u2019s <\/span>Greyson Alarcon <\/b>(2:07.99), and Nitro\u2019s <\/span>Dominic Toledo Sanchez <\/b>(2:11.68).<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 100 Breast<\/b><\/h3>\n

Taking a 1-2 Aggie finish was <\/span>Anna Belousova<\/b> (1:08.62) and <\/span>Jorie Caneta<\/b> (1:09.05). Also breaking the 1:10 mark was Rice Aquatics\u2019 <\/span>Mary-claire Schillinger<\/b> at 1:09.92. Aggie\u2019s world championships medalist <\/span>Bethany Galat <\/b>(1:10.14) and unattached <\/span>Olivia Anderson<\/b> (1:10.20) finished in fourth and fifth place.<\/span><\/p>\n

Closing the top eight was unattached <\/span>Ema Rajic<\/b> (1:10.35), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Victoria Roubique <\/b>(1:11.05), and unattached <\/span>Holly Jansen<\/b> (1:12.09).<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 100 Breast<\/b><\/h3>\n

The two NCAA Champions from Longhorn Aquatics went for a close 1-2 finish in the 100 breast tonight, with <\/span>Andrew Wilson<\/b> (1:00.45) taking the win and teammate <\/span>Will Licon<\/b> (1:00.96) in second. The duo finished nearly two seconds ahead of their nearest contender, Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Benjamin Walker<\/b> (1:02.80).<\/span><\/p>\n

Closing the top eight was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Joseph Daniels <\/b>(1:03.02), Tiger\u2019s <\/span>Luca Pfyffer<\/b> (1:03.28), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Hudson Smith<\/b> (1:04.40), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Casey Melzer <\/b>(1:04.43), and Lakeside\u2019s <\/span>Donald Scott <\/b>(1:05.51).<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 200 Fly<\/b><\/h3>\n

Winning by nearly three seconds was <\/span>Ashlyn Fiorilli<\/b> of Texas Ford Aquatics at 2:13.56. Two Aggie swimmers, <\/span>Camryn Toney <\/b>(2:16.41) and <\/span>Kara Eisenmann<\/b> (2:16.88), took second and third place. <\/span><\/p>\n

Closing the top eight was Crawfish\u2019s <\/span>Jolee Liles <\/b>(2:17.76), Dallas\u2019s <\/span>Erin Trahan<\/b> (2:17.92), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Victoria Edwards <\/b>(2:19.36), Austin\u2019s <\/span>Ella Collins <\/b>(2:20.88), and Rice\u2019s <\/span>Hanna Huston <\/b>(2:21.04).<\/span><\/p>\n

A rare tie finish occurred for B-final winners <\/span>Isabel Tank<\/b> of Houston Cougar Aquatics and <\/span>Hannah Sumbera<\/b> of Rice Aquatics, both finishing at 2:19.78.<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 200 Fly<\/b><\/h3>\n

Future Stanford swimmer <\/span>Jack Levant<\/b> of the North Texas Nadadores took the title at 1:58.45. Finishing over four seconds behind Levant was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Coby Carrozza<\/b> (2:02.53) and Alamo\u2019s <\/span>Cole Giandinoto<\/b> (2:03.22).<\/span><\/p>\n

Finishing off the top eight was Dallas Mustang\u2019s <\/span>Kaan Ayar<\/b> (2:03.68), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Austin Van Overdam<\/b> (2:04.27), Texas Christian\u2019s <\/span>Dayne Odendaal<\/b> (2:05.89), Nitro\u2019s <\/span>John Grieshop<\/b> (2:07.47), and Alamo\u2019s <\/span>Jacob Peterson<\/b> (2:07.58). <\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 100 Free<\/b><\/h3>\n

Julia Cook<\/b> of Aggie Swim Club took the win at 55.22. Finishing shortly after were Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Anelise Diener<\/b> (56.05), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Kathryn Portz<\/b> (56.23), Magnolia\u2019s Nordmann (56.76), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Emily Reese <\/b>(56.94), Aggie\u2019s <\/span>Kornkarnjana Sapianchai <\/b>(57.24), and unattached Rajic<\/span> (57.97). Topping off the top eight was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Jordan Wheeler<\/b> (1:07.93), who went for the first 50 split, going a 25.96.<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 100 Free<\/b><\/h3>\n

Swimming for Nation\u2019s Capital, <\/span>Jack Conger<\/b> won the final individual event of the night at 48.76. Under the 50 mark as well was Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Tate Jackson<\/b> (49.67) and <\/span>Townley Haas <\/b>(49.71), swimming for NOVA.<\/span><\/p>\n

Closing the top eight was <\/span>John Shebat <\/b>of Nation\u2019s Capital (50.03), Aggie\u2019s Michael Thibert (50.22), unattached <\/span>Timothy Clayton<\/b> (50.35), Longhorn\u2019s <\/span>Jacob Huerta<\/b> (50.75), and North Texas\u2019 Levant (51.45).<\/span><\/p>\n

Women\u2019s 800 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n

Winning the first relay of the meet by a 24 second margin was the Longhorn squad of <\/span>Logan Shiller <\/b>(2:01.66), <\/span>Joanna Evans <\/b>(1:59.73), Carrozza (2:02.76), and Pfeifer (1:58.81), finishing at 8:02.96.<\/span><\/p>\n

Runner-up was Austin Swim Club (8:27.24) and third place went to Rockwall Aquatics (8:33.06).<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u2019s 800 Free Relay<\/b><\/h3>\n

Winning the final event of the night at 7:39.46 was the North Texas Nadadores team of <\/span>Kevin Repice<\/b> (1:55.12), <\/span>David Hallaron<\/b> (1:55.48), <\/span>Landon Armstrong<\/b> (1:56.79), and Levant (1:52.07).<\/span><\/p>\n

Coming in second was the Alamo Area Aquatic Association (7:43.63) and in third was Austin Swim Club (7:48.12).<\/span><\/p>\n
