Hosted by the Jenks Trojan Swim Club, the meet will run July 11-14 and is held at the Jenks Trojan Aquatics Center.<\/p>\n<p>Full results can be found on Meet Mobile \u2013 2018 Region VIII Summer Sectionals.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jennifer King\u00a0<\/strong>started of the session with a win in the women&#8217;s 400 IM. She swam her way to a new lifetime best of 4:53.36.<\/p>\n<p>Splash Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Haley Downy\u00a0<\/strong>dropped over five seconds from her prelims time to take second in 4:54.53 and Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Allison Kopas\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 4:57.29.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Azra Avdic\u00a0<\/strong>(4:58.50), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Junseo Kim\u00a0<\/strong>(4:58.91), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>(5:01.83), Missouri State&#8217;s <strong>Josie Pearson\u00a0<\/strong>(5:04.06) and Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shea Bougie <\/strong>(5:11.99) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 400 IM<\/h2>\n<p>The men&#8217;s 400 IM was a close battle between first and second, but\u00a0Columbia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Lorson\u00a0<\/strong>got his hand to the wall first. He dropped nearly two seconds from his entry time to win with a time of 4:30.63.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln Select\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Brennan Balogh\u00a0<\/strong>was right behind him, finishing second in 4:30.78. Missouri&#8217;s <strong>Gustavo Gutierrez\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 4:34.54.<\/p>\n<p>Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Noah Scheuermann\u00a0<\/strong>(4:37.29), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Justin Park\u00a0<\/strong>(4:38.92), Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tyler Lewis\u00a0<\/strong>(4:31.70), Lincoln Select&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alexander Petty\u00a0<\/strong>(4:43.73) and\u00a0Tsunami\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Cameron Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>(4:47.25) completed the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dana Posthuma\u00a0<\/strong>powered her way to a win in the women&#8217;s 100 fly, dropping over one second from her morning swim to earn a new lifetime best. She stopped the clock in 1:01.06.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Nebraska\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Theil\u00a0<\/strong>also snuck under 1:02, touching the wall in 1:01.99.\u00a0Huntsville\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kobie Melton\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 1:02.04.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth through eighth place went to Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kate McCarville\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.40), Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Sophia Burwitz\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.50), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Morgan McCafferty\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.00), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabelle Murray\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.34) and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Azra Avdic\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.52).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>After winning the mens 50 fly last night, Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Paul Le\u00a0<\/strong>again found himself on top of the podium, this time in the 100 fly. He got his hands to the wall first in 54.13 to win by over one second.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Mankus\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 55.20 and Sooner\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Aiden Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 55.31.<\/p>\n<p>Rockwood\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>(55.59),\u00a0American Energy\u2019s\u00a0<strong>William Ingram\u00a0<\/strong>(56.43), Balogh (57.10), Greater Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rush Clark\u00a0<\/strong>(57.56) and Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Barclay Dale\u00a0<\/strong>(58.14) also raced in the top flight.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h2>\n<p>SwimTulsa\u2019s<strong>Liberty\u00a0<b>Howell,\u00a0<\/b><\/strong>who finished fourth in the women&#8217;s 800 free on night one, was victorious in the 200 free tonight. She won the event by over a second with a final time of 2:03.34.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Samantha Porter\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 2:04.55 while\u00a0<strong>Danielle Hepler\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 2:05.80.<\/p>\n<p>Also racing in the A final was Kansas City Blazers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Katherine Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.87), North Shore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maggie Summit\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.95), Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kiera Michailoff-Russell\u00a0<\/strong>(2:06.25),\u00a0Wichita\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Katelyn Blattner\u00a0<\/strong>(2:07.93) and\u00a0<strong>Allison Bloebaum\u00a0<\/strong>(2:08.67).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri\u2019s <strong>Giovanny Lima\u00a0<\/strong>earned his second victory of the weekend, taking the men&#8217;s 800 free title last night and the 200 free crown tonight. He won by over 2.5 seconds with a time of 1:50.24.<\/p>\n<p>Second went to\u00a0Council Bluff\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jackson Allmon\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:52.70 and third went to Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>in 1:53.26.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant Reed\u00a0<\/strong>(1:53.58),\u00a0Jonesboro\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jack Little\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.17), Flyers\u2019\u00a0<strong>Carter Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.26), Kansas City Blazers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Evan Root\u00a0<\/strong>(1:56.33) and Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Aaron Kohler\u00a0<\/strong>(1:59.62) completed the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Arkansas\u2019\u00a0<strong>Madison Strathman\u00a0<\/strong>found herself on top of the podium again, this time adding the women&#8217;s 50 breast title in addition to the 200 breast. She got her hands to the wall first in 32.51.<\/p>\n<p>Splash Club\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Katherine Steward\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 32.94 and third went to Springfield&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aubrey Brouwer\u00a0<\/strong>in 33.25.<\/p>\n<p>Tideriders&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Helen Wojdylo\u00a0<\/strong>(33.53), North Shore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Amanda Wager\u00a0<\/strong>(33.73),\u00a0Columbia\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(33.74), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gwendolyn Worlton\u00a0<\/strong>(33.98) and Sappy County\u2019s <strong>Olivia Dendinger\u00a0<\/strong>(34.08) also raced in the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Sappy County\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Noah Barr\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 50 breast, dropping over half a second from his morning time to take the title in 28.53.<\/p>\n<p>Le grabbed the silver in 28.92 and the bronze went to Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan O&#8217;Brien\u00a0<\/strong>in 28.96.<\/p>\n<p>Greater Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conner Funke\u00a0<\/strong>(29.25), Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Staver\u00a0<\/strong>(29.30), Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Samuel Heveroh\u00a0<\/strong>(29.32), Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Geheb\u00a0<\/strong>(29.80) and Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Collin O&#8217;Brien\u00a0<\/strong>(29.95) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n<p>Prelims for the third day of competition will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. CDT.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Missouri State\u2019s\u00a0Paul Le,\u00a0Missouri\u2019s Giovanny Lima\u00a0and\u00a0Arkansas\u2019\u00a0Madison Strathman\u00a0each earned their second victories of the weekend at the 2018 Speedo Sectionals Series in Jenks, Okla.
