Hosted by the Jenks Trojan Swim Club, the meet will run July 11-14 and is held at the Jenks Trojan Aquatics Center.<\/p>\n<p>Full results can be found on Meet Mobile &#8211; 2018 Region VIII Summer Sectionals.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Abigail Kilgallon\u00a0<\/strong>won the meet&#8217;s first event, knocking off almost three seconds from her seed time in the women&#8217;s 800 free. She posted a time of 8:52.91 for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Also getting under the nine-minute mark was her teammate\u00a0<strong>Junseo Kim\u00a0<\/strong>in 8:55.26 and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Azra Avdic\u00a0<\/strong>in 8:58.45.<\/p>\n<p>SwimTulsa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Liberty\u00a0<\/strong><b>Howell\u00a0<\/b>(9:01.10), Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Powers\u00a0<\/strong>(9:04.23), Kansas City Blazers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Katherine Sullivan\u00a0<\/strong>(9:05.65),\u00a0<strong>Allison Bloebaum\u00a0<\/strong>(9:07.48) and Wichita&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katelyn Blattner\u00a0<\/strong>(9:11.71) finished in the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s <strong>Giovanny Lima <\/strong>cruised to first in the men&#8217;s 800 free, winning the event by over six seconds. He won in a time of 8:17.59.<\/p>\n<p>His teammate\u00a0<strong>Jacob Wielinski\u00a0<\/strong>was the runner-up in 8:23.97 while Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kyle Iorizzo\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 8:25.87.<\/p>\n<p>American Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hunter Denison\u00a0<\/strong>(8:28.30), Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gustavo Gutierrex\u00a0<\/strong>(8:31.09), Jonesboro&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Little\u00a0<\/strong>(8:36.48), Scarlet&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jonathan Choi\u00a0<\/strong>(8:38.61) and Tsunami&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Cameron Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>(8:42.19) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Samantha Porter sprinted her way to first place in the women&#8217;s 100 free. She finished with a final time of 56.08 after posting a lifetime best 55.85 during prelims.<\/p>\n<p>Wichita&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Megan Keil\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 57.29 and North Shore&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Maggie\u00a0Summit\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 57.39.<\/p>\n<p>Huntsville&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kobie Melton\u00a0<\/strong>(57.48), Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kiera Michailoff-Russell\u00a0<\/strong>(57.66), Sullivan (58.89), Howell\u00a0(59.02) and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarah Thompson\u00a0<\/strong>(59.16) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Samuel Heveroh\u00a0<\/strong>won a close men&#8217;s 100 free final, getting to the wall only four-tenths ahead of the runner-up. He won in a personal best time of 51.23.<\/p>\n<p>Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jack Dolan\u00a0<\/strong>took a close second in 51.29 while Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sam Coffman\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 51.61.<\/p>\n<p>Council Bluff&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jackson Allmon\u00a0<\/strong>(52.10), Flyers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Carter Nelson\u00a0<\/strong>(52.68), Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicolas Wamsley\u00a0<\/strong>(52.71), Kansas City Blazers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>John Paul Hynes\u00a0<\/strong>(53.02) and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jackson Kent\u00a0<\/strong>(53.61) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Madison Strathman\u00a0<\/strong>dropped nearly three seconds from her morning swim to take the women&#8217;s 200 breast crown. She got her hands to the wall in 2:33.07.<\/p>\n<p>Second went to Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Gwendolyn Worlton\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:34.28 and Splash Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Haley Downey\u00a0<\/strong>took a close third\u00a0in 2:34.36.<\/p>\n<p>American Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hanna Newby\u00a0<\/strong>(2:34.57), Splash Club&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Katherine Steward\u00a0<\/strong>(2:36.66), Greater Nebraska&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caroline Theil\u00a0<\/strong>(2:37.08), Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Sydney Angell\u00a0<\/strong>(2:38.84) and Columbia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Williams\u00a0<\/strong>(2:39.75) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Greater Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Conner Funke\u00a0<\/strong>shaved off three seconds from his morning swim to win the men&#8217;s 200 breast. He used consistent splits to touch the wall in 2:20.95 for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Sappy County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Luke Barr\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 2:21.78 while Wichita&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Patton\u00a0<\/strong>and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Nick Staver\u00a0<\/strong>tied for third with a time of 2:23.23.<\/p>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Geheb\u00a0<\/strong>(2:24.11), Topeka&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Tarrin Fisher\u00a0<\/strong>(2:24.71), Columbia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Lorson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:24.93) and Empire&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Worth\u00a0<\/strong>(2:26.19) completed the top flight.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s <strong>Amanda Smith\u00a0<\/strong>held consistent splits to earn the goal in the women&#8217;s 200 back. She stopped the clock in 2:16.26 for the title.<\/p>\n<p>Her teammate\u00a0<strong>Samantha Wilts\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the silver in 2:17.97 and Club Husker&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna McDonald\u00a0<\/strong>got the bronze in 2:18.22.<\/p>\n<p>The Aquakids&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Allie Rogers\u00a0<\/strong>(2:19.79), Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Madison Umberger\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.10), Club Husker&#8217;s <strong>Jessica Pentlarge\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.22), Club Husker&#8217;s <strong>Morgan McCafferty\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.38) and Kilgallon (2:23.41) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Daniel Hein\u00a0<\/strong>won the men&#8217;s 200 back in 2:03.21, knocking off over a full second from his morning time to earn the title.<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln Select&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Brennan Balogh\u00a0<\/strong>took second in 2:04.06 and Missouri&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grffin Schaetzle\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 2:04.65.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City Blazers&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kevin Glenn\u00a0<\/strong>(2:08.26), Sarpy County&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mateo Miceli\u00a0<\/strong>(2:08.81), Patton (2:08.83), Elkhorn&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Patterson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:08.99) and Arkansas Dolphins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Thomas Heye\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.66) completed the top heat.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>Not too long after finishing sixth in the women&#8217;s 200 breast, Their was back in the water to win the women&#8217;s 50 fly. She won the event in 27.80 as the only swimmer under the 28-second mark.<\/p>\n<p>Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Karisa Franz\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 28.09 and\u00a0Melton was third in 28.27.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth through eighth went to Rec Plex&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Autumn Looney\u00a0<\/strong>(28.31), Keil (28.34), Michailoff-Russell (28.35), Rockwood&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anna Miller\u00a0<\/strong>(28.41) and Arkansas&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Sarah Chambliss\u00a0<\/strong>(28.47).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>Missouri State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paul Le\u00a0<\/strong>powered his way to a win in the night&#8217;s final individual event. He won with a time of 24.20.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to Greater Omaha&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Colin Lafave\u00a0<\/strong>in 24.78 and third place went to Enid&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jason Schroeder\u00a0<\/strong>in 24.93.<\/p>\n<p>Sooner&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Aiden Hayes\u00a0<\/strong>(24.97), Enid&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Micah Chambers\u00a0<\/strong>(25.57), Wamsley (25.74), Parkway&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Barclay Dale\u00a0<\/strong>(25.78) and American Energy&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>William Ingram\u00a0<\/strong>(25.93) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 4&#215;50 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>The Arkansas quartet of Umberger (31.40), Strathman (31.62), Chambliss (28.37) and Michailoff-Russell (25.90) combined to win the women&#8217;s 4&#215;50 medley relay in a swift 1:57.29.<\/p>\n<p>Club Husker was second in 1:58.31 and Springfield was third in 2:00.02.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s\u00a04&#215;50 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Flyers&#8217; <strong>Trevor Halliburton<\/strong> (27.25),\u00a0<strong>Collin O&#8217;Brien\u00a0<\/strong>(29.45), Nelson (26.21) and Heveroh (22.83)<\/p>\n<p>Greater Omaha was second in 1:45.89 and Rockwood was third in 1:46.64.<\/p>\n<p>Prelims for the second day of competition will begin Thursday at 9:00 a.m. CDT.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 2018 Speedo Sectionals Series kicked off today in Jenks, Okla.
