Gator Swim Club had a dominate meet, winning with a total of 3007 points ahead of Bolles (1453) and East Coast Aquatic Club (1169.5).<\/p>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-speedo-sectionals-gainesville-day-4-finals-day-4\/usa-age-group\/2018\/July\/9?rtn=%2Fresults%2Fusa-age-group%3Fpage%3D1%26orderBy%3DResult.MeetStartDateTime%26sortDirection%3D1%26q%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Day Four Final Results<\/a><\/h3>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Swim Florida&#8217;s <strong>Olivia McMurray\u00a0<\/strong>began the final day of competition with a win in the women&#8217;s 800 free. She finished with a time of 8:52.39.<\/p>\n<p>Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Leah Degeorge\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 8:57.95 and\u00a0<strong>Marcella Ruppert-Gomez\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 8:59.80 as the only other swimmers under the nine-minute mark.<\/p>\n<p>Highlander&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alixandra Roy\u00a0<\/strong>(9:03.76), East Coast Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Anna Auld\u00a0<\/strong>(9:04.30), Fast Lane&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Polina Rukosuev\u00a0<\/strong>(9:05.67), Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christina Cianciolo\u00a0<\/strong>(9:08.70) and Clearwater&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Taylor Ward\u00a0<\/strong>(9:13.23) completed the top flight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 1500 Free<\/h2>\n<p>After taking the bronze in the men&#8217;s 800 free on the first night of competition, Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Drew Clark\u00a0<\/strong>got the gold in the 1500 free tonight. He was the only swimmer under the 16-minute mark with a final time of 15:45.74.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Will Smith\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 16:04.28 and Swim Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Ryan Staunch\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 16:25.08.<\/p>\n<p>Fast Lane&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Brewer\u00a0<\/strong>(16:25.49), Saint Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Benjamin Cote\u00a0<\/strong>(16:26.06), T2&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oscar Madsen\u00a0<\/strong>(16:31.22), Episcopal&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joseph Kim\u00a0<\/strong>(16:34.01) and Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sarsen Whatmore\u00a0<\/strong>(16:37.07) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>Olympic gold medalist\u00a0<strong>Penny Oleksiak\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to first in the women&#8217;s 200 fly, knocking off just over three seconds from her prelims time. She finished with a final time of 2:12.40.<\/p>\n<p>Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabel Traba\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 2:15.95 and AquaKids&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Mary Smutny\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 2:16.30.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Talia Bates\u00a0<\/strong>(2:16.89), Blue Dolfins&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Chloe Hampson\u00a0<\/strong>(2:18.03), Swim Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia McMurray\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.04), Greater Tampa&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Alyssa Nagle\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.42) and Metro Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Alexandra Paz\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.83) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Fly<\/h2>\n<p>After taking fifth in the men&#8217;s 50 fly last night, Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mason Wilby\u00a0<\/strong>found himself on top of the podium tonight in the 200 fly. He touched the wall in a winning time of 2:01.34.<\/p>\n<p>Second place went to Episcopal\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Sterling Crane\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:01.47 and AquaKids&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Miguel Cancel <\/strong>took third in 2:03.62.<\/p>\n<p>T2&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Mason Laur\u00a0<\/strong>(2:05.10),\u00a0Episcopal\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Jace Crawford\u00a0<\/strong>(2:07.04), Metro Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Nestor Montero\u00a0<\/strong>(2:07.25),\u00a0Episcopal\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Braeden Knight\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.47) and Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Martin Baffico\u00a0<\/strong>(2:10.89) completed the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>found herself with the gold for the fourth time this meet after winning the women&#8217;s 100 free by nearly a full second. She finished in 55.48, making that a new lifetime best.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabella Garofalo\u00a0<\/strong>also swam a new personal best of 56.43 for second and Quest&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kelsey Dambacher\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 57.39.<\/p>\n<p>Smutny (57.52), South Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Kathleen Golding\u00a0<\/strong>(57.90), Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Victoria Bindi\u00a0<\/strong>(58.28) and Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Sydney Kang\u00a0<\/strong>(58.33) completed the top heat.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 100 Free<\/h2>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Khader Baqlah\u00a0<\/strong>added the men&#8217;s 100 free title in addition to his 200 free win from earlier this weekend. He posted a time of 50.84 for the win.<\/p>\n<p>Pleasonton\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Maxime Rooney\u00a0<\/strong>finished a close second in 50.93 while\u00a0Daytona Beach&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Viktor Toth\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 51.73.<\/p>\n<p>Also swimming in the top eight were Westminster&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Robinson Molina\u00a0<\/strong>(52.40), Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Christopher Margotti\u00a0<\/strong>(52.96),\u00a0Gator\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Enzo Martinez Scarpe\u00a0<\/strong>(53.10), Tampa Bay&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Grant Sanders\u00a0<\/strong>(53.57) and Metro Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Adrian Moya\u00a0<\/strong>(53.75).<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Golden Panther\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Nicole Hunnewell\u00a0<\/strong>completed the breaststroke sweep in Gainesville after winning the women&#8217;s 200 breast tonight. She dropped 2.5 seconds from her entry time to win in 2:34.83.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Hannah Burns\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 2:35.24 and\u00a0Episcopal\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Emily Merton\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 2:38.91.<\/p>\n<p>Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emma Weyant\u00a0<\/strong>(2:39.89), South Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Molly Golding\u00a0<\/strong>(2:41.91), Hurricane&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Andrea Kyriakidis\u00a0<\/strong>(2:43.42), Saint Andrew&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Shayna Fetes\u00a0<\/strong>(2:45.55) and Bolles&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Olivia Peoples\u00a0<\/strong>(2:48.12) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Breast<\/h2>\n<p>Avon Community&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Chandler Bray\u00a0<\/strong>knocked off nearly nine seconds from his prelims time to win the men&#8217;s 200 breast by six seconds. His final time was 2:16.60.<\/p>\n<p>East Coast Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Kevin Degrijze\u00a0<\/strong>grabbed the silver in 2:22.56 and Pipeline&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jared Pike\u00a0<\/strong>earned the bronze in 2:24.38.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Dylan Brisco\u00a0<\/strong>(2:26.88), Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julian Hill\u00a0<\/strong>(2:27.94), Gulliver\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Teolio Darias\u00a0<\/strong>(2:31.27),\u00a0<strong>Christopher Dieffenthaller\u00a0<\/strong>(2:31.48) and South Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Marc Rojas\u00a0<\/strong>(2:31.65) rounded out the podium.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Not too long after a win in the women&#8217;s 100 free,\u00a0Ivey was back in the pool to take the crown in the 200 back with a time of 2:14.73.\u00a0That marks her fifth victory of the meet.<\/p>\n<p>Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Brooks\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 2:17.59 and third went to\u00a0<strong>Mary Kelley\u00a0<\/strong>in 2:19.93.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth through eighth place went to Gator&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Madison Conway\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.37),\u00a0Gator\u2019s\u00a0<strong>Kirschtine Balbuena\u00a0<\/strong>(2:.22.16), East Coast Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Madison Cummings\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.35),\u00a0<strong>Roxanne Yu\u00a0<\/strong>(2:23.42) and Storm&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Summer Stanfield\u00a0<\/strong>(2:23.45).<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h2>\n<p>Cancel concluded his successful meet with a win in the men&#8217;s 200 back. He touched the wall first with a winning time of 2:05.03.<\/p>\n<p>Fast Lane&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Joshua Zuchowski\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 2:06.41 and Saint Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Lukas Cote\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 2:07.78.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Andrew&#8217;s <strong>Nicholas Sharp<\/strong> (2:08.22), Saint Petersburg&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caleb Kravitz\u00a0<\/strong>(2:11.08), Episcopal&#8217;s <strong>Joseph Kim\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.42), Swim Florida&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Garrett Stanley\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.65) and Sarasota&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Martin Baffico\u00a0<\/strong>(2:16.23) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n<h2>Women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 Free Relay<\/h2>\n<p>The Gator team of Balbuena (58.45), Kang (58.91), Bates (57.54) and\u00a0<strong>Georgia Bates\u00a0<\/strong>(59.72) won the women&#8217;s 4&#215;100 free relay in a time of 3:54.62.<\/p>\n<p>East Coast Aquatic Club finished second in a time of 3:57.34 and Swim Florida was third in 4:01.75.<\/p>\n<h2>Men&#8217;s 4&#215;100 Free Relay<\/h2>\n<p>Just like the women, the Gator men&#8217;s team of Wilby (52.99), Hill (52.74), Dawson (52.06) and\u00a0<strong>Trevor McGovern\u00a0<\/strong>(53.09) won the meet&#8217;s final event in 3:30.88.<\/p>\n<p>Metro Aquatic Club took second in 3:31.63 and Bolles finished third in 3:39.69.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isabel Ivey\u00a0won her fifth individual event on the final night of the 2018 Speedo Sectionals in Gainesville, Fla.
