It was another fast night at the 2018 Speedo Sectionals in Gainesville, Fla.\u00a0Isabel Ivey<\/strong> and Jan Switkowski<\/strong> each won two events.<\/p>\n

Day Three Final Results<\/a><\/h3>\n

Women’s 100 Back<\/h2>\n

After winning the women’s 200 free last night, Isabel Ivey\u00a0<\/strong>won her second title of the weekend in the 100 back. She got her hand to the wall first in 1:02.25 after posting a personal best 1:01.63 during prelims.<\/p>\n

Gator’s\u00a0Caitlin Brooks\u00a0<\/strong>was .01 faster than this morning to finish second in 1:03.03 while her teammate\u00a0Emma Ball\u00a0<\/strong>took third in 1:03.71.<\/p>\n

Gator’s\u00a0Talia Bates <\/strong>(1:04.13), East Coast Aquatic’s\u00a0Madison Cummings\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.09), Gator’s\u00a0Kirschtine Balbuena\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.33), Gator’s\u00a0Madison Conway\u00a0<\/strong>(1:05.40) and Storm’s\u00a0Summer Stanfield\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.90) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n

Men’s 100 Back<\/h2>\n

Quest’s\u00a0Ethan Beach<\/strong>, who finished second in the men’s 50 back last night, found himself on top of the podium tonight in the 100 back. He dropped seven-tenths from his morning swim to post a final time of 56.80.<\/p>\n

AquaKids’\u00a0Miguel Cancel\u00a0<\/strong>swam a lifetime best 57.93 for second and Bolles’\u00a0Dakota Mahaffey\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 58.16.<\/p>\n

Westminster’s\u00a0Robinson Molina\u00a0<\/strong>(58.50), Saint Andrew’s\u00a0Nicholas Sharp\u00a0<\/strong>(58.71), Flood Aquatic’s\u00a0Joshua Zuchowski\u00a0<\/strong>(59.02), Metro Aquatic’s\u00a0Aitor Fungairino\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.46) and South Florida’s\u00a0Lance Lesage\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.09) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Breast<\/h2>\n

Golden Panther’s\u00a0Nicole Hunnewell\u00a0<\/strong>added the women’s 50 breast title tonight to her 100 breast crown from yesterday. She got her hands to the wall first in 33.35.<\/p>\n

Metro Aquatic’s\u00a0Evita Leter\u00a0<\/strong>was close behind in 33.39 for second and East Coast Aquatic’s\u00a0Ryan Flynn\u00a0<\/strong>touched in 34.63 for third.<\/p>\n

East Coast Aquatic’s\u00a0Chade Nersicio\u00a0<\/strong>(34.64), Florida Elite’s\u00a0Elise Ballash\u00a0<\/strong>(34.67), South Florida’s\u00a0Jessica Rodriquez\u00a0<\/strong>(35.19), Swim Florida’s\u00a0Elizabeth\u00a0White\u00a0<\/strong>(35.55) and Bolles’\u00a0Madison Koutavas \u00a0<\/strong>(35.90) also posted top eight finishes.<\/p>\n

Men’s 50 Breast<\/h2>\n

The men’s 50 breast was just as close as the women’s race, with Westminster’s\u00a0Davion Conley<\/strong>\u00a0coming out on top. He won the race in 28.63, half a second faster from his morning swim.<\/p>\n

Second place went to Azura Florida’s\u00a0Marco Guarente\u00a0<\/strong>in 28.67 and third place went to Pipeline Swimming’s\u00a0Jared Pike\u00a0<\/strong>in 29.30.<\/p>\n

Avon Community’s\u00a0Chandler Bray\u00a0<\/strong>(29.56), Gulliver’s\u00a0Teolio Darias\u00a0<\/strong>(30.16),\u00a0Hudson Explorer\u2019s\u00a0Ross Palazzo\u00a0<\/strong>(30.19), Bolles’\u00a0Paul Degrado\u00a0<\/strong>(30.88) and Gator’s\u00a0Enzo Martinez Scarpe\u00a0<\/strong>(30.88) finished fourth through eighth.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Fly<\/h2>\n

Swim Florida\u2019s\u00a0Grace Redding,\u00a0<\/strong>who finished fifth in last night’s 100 fly, was victorious tonight in the 50 fly. She sprinted her way to the gold with a time of 27.32.<\/p>\n

Bates grabbed the silver in 27.40 while Golden Panther’s\u00a0Letitia Bertelli\u00a0<\/strong>took bronze in 27.56.<\/p>\n

Nersicio (27.85), Planet Swim’s\u00a0Kathryn Saurborn\u00a0<\/strong>(27.92), Swim Florida’s\u00a0Madeline Burt\u00a0<\/strong>(28.89), Cummings (28.89) and Metro Aquatic’s\u00a0Alexandra Paz\u00a0<\/strong>(29.17).<\/p>\n

Men’s 50 Fly<\/h2>\n

Jan Switkowski,\u00a0<\/strong>representing Gator Swim Club, added a win in the men’s 50 fly to his runner-up 200 free finish. He stopped the clock in 24.37.<\/p>\n

Metro Atlanta’s\u00a0Isaac Davis\u00a0<\/strong>finished second in 24.51 while\u00a0Performance Aquatic\u2019s\u00a0Runar Borgen\u00a0<\/strong>took a close third in 24.54.<\/p>\n

Gator’s\u00a0Christoph Margotti\u00a0<\/strong>(24.93), Gator’s\u00a0Mason Wilby\u00a0<\/strong>(25.44), Metro Aquatic’s\u00a0Adrian Aguilar\u00a0<\/strong>(25.56), Performance Aquatic’s\u00a0Josiah Morales\u00a0<\/strong>(25.80) and\u00a0Episcopal\u2019s\u00a0Sterling Crane\u00a0<\/strong>(26.05) rounded out the top heat.<\/p>\n

Women’s 200 IM<\/h2>\n

Not too long after winning the women’s 100 back, Ivey was back in the pool to claim the 200 IM title as well. She dropped nearly two seconds from her morning swim to win the event by nearly one second in 2:17.47.<\/p>\n

South Florida’s\u00a0Kathleen Golding\u00a0<\/strong>recorded a second-place showing in 2:18.34 and Swim Florida’s\u00a0Olivia McMurray\u00a0<\/strong>finished third in 2:18.66.<\/p>\n

Also competing in the top flight were Sarasota’s\u00a0Emma Weyant\u00a0<\/strong>(2:18.92), Gator’s\u00a0Sydney Kang\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.11), Bolles’\u00a0Kensey McMahon\u00a0<\/strong>(2:22.59), Saint Petersburg’s\u00a0Peyton Palsha\u00a0<\/strong>(2:23.01) and\u00a0Highlander\u2019s\u00a0Alixandra Roy\u00a0<\/strong>(2:25.51).<\/p>\n

Men’s 200 IM<\/h2>\n

Gator\u2019s\u00a0Mark Szaranek\u00a0<\/strong>swept both IM events this week in Gainesville. After winning the 400 IM yesterday, he was back in the pool tonight to take home the 200 IM title in 2:03.32.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay’s\u00a0Grant Sanders\u00a0<\/strong>wasn’t too far behind in 2:03.55 for second and\u00a0Guarantee finished third in 2:05.91.<\/p>\n

Cancel (2:06.02), Palazzo (2:07.82), Sharp (2:11.63),\u00a0T2\u2019s\u00a0Mason Laur\u00a0<\/strong>(2:12.18) and Swim Florida’s\u00a0Steven Rua\u00a0<\/strong>(2:14.94) rounded out the A final.<\/p>\n

Women’s 50 Free<\/h2>\n

The women’s 50 free went to\u00a0Gator\u2019s\u00a0Isabella Garofalo,\u00a0<\/strong>who sprinted her way to the top of the podium in 26.41<\/p>\n

AquaKids’\u00a0Mary Smutny\u00a0<\/strong>got second in 26.50 while Pipeline Swimming’s\u00a0Chloe Grimme\u00a0<\/strong>was right behind her in 26.51 for third.<\/p>\n

Quest’s\u00a0Kelsey Dambacher\u00a0<\/strong>(26.71),\u00a0Saurborn(26.77), Bertelli (27.01) and Swim Florida’s\u00a0Hannah Burdge\u00a0<\/strong>(27.32) also raced in the fastest heat.<\/p>\n

Men’s 50 Free<\/h2>\n

Scarpe won the men’s 50 free by two-tenths, posting a final time of 23.07 for the win.<\/p>\n

His teammate\u00a0Khader Baqlah\u00a0<\/strong>was second in 23.27 and WASC\u00a0David Lambert\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 23.33.<\/p>\n

DBS\u00a0Viktor Toth\u00a0<\/strong>(23.44), Margotti (23.57), NTCA\u00a0Alexander Forbes\u00a0<\/strong>(23.89), Borgen (23.89) and Morales (24.59) completed the A final.<\/p>\n

Women’s 400 Free<\/h2>\n

Shortly after finishing sixth in the women’s 200 IM, McMahon cruised to first in the 400 free. McMahon, who also took first in the 1500 free on night one, finished with a time of 4:16.07.<\/p>\n

Weyant took second in 4:17.28 and McMurray finished third in 4:17.48.<\/p>\n

Smutny (4:18.51), CAT\u00a0Taylor Ward\u00a0<\/strong>(4:23.05), Palsha (4:23.99),\u00a0Sarasota\u2019s\u00a0Christina Cianciolo\u00a0<\/strong>(4:25.87) and Gator’s\u00a0Victoria Bindi\u00a0<\/strong>(4:27.72) also raced in the top eight.<\/p>\n

Men’s 400 Free<\/h2>\n

Switkowski dominated the men’s 400 free, winning by over five seconds. He dropped almost ten seconds from his morning swim to finish in 3:51.31.<\/p>\n

Baqlah took second in 3:56.70 and Quest’s\u00a0Clark Beach\u00a0<\/strong>was third in 3:57.84.<\/p>\n

Sarasota’s\u00a0Drew Clark\u00a0<\/strong>(3:58.70), Gator’s\u00a0Julian Hill\u00a0<\/strong>(3:59.02), Saint Petersburg’s\u00a0Robert Finke\u00a0<\/strong>(4:01.54), Saint Edwards’\u00a0Coleman Kramer\u00a0<\/strong>(4:06.74) and Lane 4’s\u00a0Peyton Werner\u00a0<\/strong>(4:07.26) rounded out the top eight.<\/p>\n

Women’s 4×100 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n

The Gator quartet of\u00a0Brooks (1:03.20), Lopez (1:15.61), Bates (1:01.09) and Kang (58.68) combined to win the women’s medley relay in 4:18.58.<\/p>\n

East Coast Aquatics finished second in 4:24.58 and Swim Florida took third in 4:26.02.<\/p>\n

Gulliver (4:29.33), South Florida (4:31.64), Gator B (4:33.37), Storm (4:35.33) and Cane (4:35.87) also raced in the top heat.<\/p>\n

Men’s 4×100 Medley Relay<\/h2>\n

Gator also won the men’s 4×100 medley relay. The team of\u00a0Trevor McGovern\u00a0<\/strong>(1:00.01),\u00a0Dylan Brisco\u00a0<\/strong>(1:06.43), Wilby (54.85) and\u00a0Alec Dawson\u00a0<\/strong>(52.11) got to the wall in 3:53.40.<\/p>\n

Boles finished second in 3:56.36 and Westminster took third in 3:59.90.<\/p>\n

Metro Aquatic (4:02.92), T2 Aquatics (4:05.66), East Coast Aquatic (4:06.68), Bolles B (4:06.70) and Performance Aquatics (4:08.12) completed the top eight.<\/p>\n
