During our search process, it became clear how passionate Jesse is about the sport of swimming. His passion and energy will greatly benefit our student-athletes.\u00a0Jesse was an inaugural recipient of the Jean K. Freeman Memorial Scholarship for assistant coach development with the CSCAA and is honored to now be coaching at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Moore joins the Golden Gophers from Northwestern where he served as the associate head women\u2019s swimming coach for two seasons. During his time at Northwestern, Moore led recruiting efforts while leading training on the deck. Northwestern this past season finished 21st and 22nd respectively at the NCAA Championships including two NCAA All-American and NCAA All-American Honorable Mention finishes.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span style=\"color: #800000;\">\u201cI would like to thank Kelly, Terry, Alicia, Maddy, Wenbo and Shelley for this amazing opportunity to join the Minnesota Golden Gophers,\u201d Moore said. \u201cI am beyond thrilled to join a team of amazing coaches and student-athletes, and cannot wait to help Kelly achieve the vision he has set for Minnesota swimming and diving! SKI-U-MAH!\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Prior to his stint at Northwestern, Moore spent four seasons as an Assistant Coach\/Director of Recruiting at Duke University where he worked with the mid-distance free, distance free and 400 IM training groups. As a recruiting coordinator, Duke\u2019s classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 were ranked 12th, 15th and 11th respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Moore graduated from William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience in 2008 before going on to earn a master\u2019s degree in health and management policy from Drexel in 2010 and a MBA from William and Mary School of Business in 2014.<\/p>\n<p><i>The above press release was posted by Swimming World in conjunction with Minnesota Athletics<\/i><i>.
