CHEN Ruolin of China was in her own league during finals of the women&#039;s 10-meter platform event, scoring 422.30 to capture the gold medal in the event at the 2012 London Olympics.<\/p>\n<p>Chen&#039;s final tally finished a stunning 55.80 points ahead of Australia&#039;s Brittany Broben, who took silver with 366.50 points.  The victory for Chen gave the 19-year-old her fourth Olympic gold medal, having won a pair this year and a pair as a 15-year-old in Beijing. <\/p>\n<p>The rest of the finale proved to be close with just 22 points separating silver from 12th place.  Malaysia&#039;s Pandelela Rinong Pamg jumped from seventh after four of five rounds to earn bronze with 359.20 points.  That&#039;s the first Olympic diving medal for her country, fitting since she was Malaysia&#039;s flag bearer at the Opening Ceremony. <\/p>\n<p>Several medal favorites faltered.  China&#039;s world silver medalist Hu Yadan wound up ninth with 349.50 points, while world bronze medalist Paola Sanchez Espinosa of Mexico finished sixth with 356.20 points. <\/p>\n<p>China has won six of the seven gold medals decided, with the men&#039;s 10m platform to come.<\/p>\n<p><i>Results links, with splits, when available are located at the bottom of the article.
