The second day of the meet features the men\u2019s and women\u2019s 100 fly, men\u2019s 200 fly, and the 100 back, 400 IM, 100 free, and 50 breast for both men and women. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.swimmingworldmagazine.com\/results\/2018-sette-colli-trophy-day-two-prelims-day-2\/international-elite\/2018\/June\/30\">2018 Sette Colli Trophy &#8211; Day Two Prelims &#8211; Results<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sweden\u2019s <\/span><b>Sarah Sjostrom<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, fresh off a new meet record in the 50 fly last night, took the top seed in the women\u2019s 100 fly (57.62). She was the only woman under 58 seconds in the entire field, with Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>Liliana Szilagyi <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">next closest in 58.73. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sjostrom would come back to grab the top seed in the women\u2019s 100 free at the end of the session in a 53.59. Right behind her is Olympic gold medalist <\/span><b>Pernille Blume<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (53.72), who finished ahead of Sjostrom last night in the 50 free in a new national record. The women\u2019s 100 free also featured <\/span><b>Femke Heemskerk <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(53.86), <\/span><b>Federica Pelligrini <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(54.05), and <\/span><b>Ranomi Kromowidjojo <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(55.02), setting up for a stacked final tonight. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the men\u2019s 100 free, Brazil\u2019s <\/span><b>Pedro Spajari <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(48.80) took the top seed out of the morning, ahead of teammate <\/span><b>Bruno Fratus <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(49.37). There were plenty of swimmers in the 48-high to 49-low range this morning, including <\/span><b>Luca Dotto <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(48.95) and <\/span><b>Shinri Shioura <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(49.28), so expect a few different swimmers to be in the mix for the top spot in tonight\u2019s final. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier in the session, the Netherlands <\/span><b>Kira Toussaint <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">grabbed the top seed in the women\u2019s 100 back (1:00.06), just a few tenths ahead of Czeh swimmer <\/span><b>Simona Baumrtova <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:00.38) and Danish swimmer <\/span><b>Mie Nielsen <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(1:00.39), while Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Matteo Milli <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">will be the top seed going into tonight\u2019s final in the men\u2019s event (54.79). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Italy\u2019s <\/span><b>Ilaria Cusinato <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">took the top spot in the women\u2019s 400 IM (4:41.37), over Great Britain\u2019s <\/span><b>Aimee Willmott <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(4:42.52) and <\/span><b>Hannah Miley <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(4:45.27). Hungary\u2019s <\/span><b>David Verraszto <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">took the top seed in the men\u2019s 400 IM (4:15.79) ahead of Britain\u2019s <\/span><b>Max Litchfield <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(4:18.18) and Brazil\u2019s <\/span><b>Brandonn Almeida <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(4:18.88), the only three swimmers under 4:20 in the field. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fresh off her newly minted #1 time in the world in the 100 breast, <\/span><b>Yulia Efimova <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">clocked a 30.25 to lead all women\u2019s qualifiers in the 50 breast, while <\/span><b>Adam Peaty <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">did the same in the men\u2019s event (26.74). <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Swimming out of heat 2, Brazil\u2019s <\/span><b>Luiz Altamir Meno <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">also secured the top seed in the men\u2019s 200 fly (1:57.30).
