Thursday featured the 50 shootouts and Friday was the first day of classic prelims and finals in Olympic events.<\/p>\n<p>The meet is not a part of the TYR Pro Swim Series but it is still hosting a good variety of top swimmers in the Southeast. There are a good number of swimmers from the ACC and the University of Georgia as well as various club swimmers in the state of North Carolina.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Elise Haan\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 1:01.30 in the heats of the 100 back ahead of fellow Wolfpack Elite member\u00a0<strong>Alexia Zevnik\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.60) and another ACC swimmer\u00a0<strong>Megan Moroney\u00a0<\/strong>(1:02.79) from Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>NCAA Champion\u00a0<strong>Coleman Stewart\u00a0<\/strong>made his long course debut this summer with a 56.10 in the 100 back heats ahead of fellow NC State guys\u00a0<strong>Hennessey Stuart\u00a0<\/strong>(56.13) and\u00a0<strong>Justin Ress\u00a0<\/strong>(56.28). NC State also had\u00a0<strong>Jacob Molacek\u00a0<\/strong>(57.28) place fifth and\u00a0<strong>Noah Hensley\u00a0<\/strong>(58.19) in eighth. 15-year-old\u00a0<strong>Timothy Connery\u00a0<\/strong>from Swim MAC Carolina is the fourth seed at 56.64.<\/p>\n<p>Duke&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Isabella Paez\u00a0<\/strong>had the fastest 200 fly of the morning with a 2:13.71 ahead of Virginia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.81) and Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Caitlin Casazza\u00a0<\/strong>(2:15.95). National Junior Team member\u00a0<strong>Madison Homovich\u00a0<\/strong>is the fourth seed with a 2:18.43.<\/p>\n<p>Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Camden Murphy\u00a0<\/strong>swam a 2:02.68 in the 200 fly heats as he is ahead of fellow Athens Bulldog Swim Club member\u00a0<strong>Tal Davis\u00a0<\/strong>(2:04.10). Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Zachary Brown\u00a0<\/strong>is the third seed at 2:05.16. Notably, South Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Fynn Minuth\u00a0<\/strong>(2:06.28) is the seventh seed going in to finals tonight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jaclyn Schoening\u00a0<\/strong>representing the YMCA of the Triangle Area\u00a0had the number one seed in the 100 breast heats with a 1:11.14. Schoening is ahead of Gamecock&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Rachel Bernhardt\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.50) and Wolfpack Elite&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Olivia Calegan\u00a0<\/strong>(1:11.56).<\/p>\n<p>Queens grad\u00a0<strong>Nic Eriksson\u00a0<\/strong>is the top seed in the 100 breast going in to finals tonight as he swam a 1:03.21 in the prelims ahead of 15-year-old\u00a0<strong>Timothy Connery\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.80) and 25-year-old\u00a0<strong>Marko Blazevski\u00a0<\/strong>(1:03.92). Connery is one of three teenagers in tonight&#8217;s A-final as there is a good number of older guys in the final. Eriksson is 24 years of age.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kate Moore<\/strong>, the younger sister of NC State All-American\u00a0<strong>Hannah Moore<\/strong>, is the top seed in the 400 free as she swam a 4:20.08 in the heats. Moore leads a tight field separated by less than two seconds. Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jordan Stout\u00a0<\/strong>(4:20.26), Virginia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Paige Madden\u00a0<\/strong>(4:20.80) and Georgia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Veronica Burchill\u00a0<\/strong>(4:20.97) all were 4:20&#8217;s in the prelims as the rest of the women in the top eight were 4:21 including Georgia commit\u00a0<strong>Madison Homovich\u00a0<\/strong>(4:21.03).<\/p>\n<p>Tennessee Aquatics&#8217;\u00a0<strong>Walker Higgins\u00a0<\/strong>cruised to a 4:00.06 in the 400 free heats as he leads NC State&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Anton Ipsen\u00a0<\/strong>(4:00.15) and NC State commit\u00a0<strong>Ross Dant\u00a0<\/strong>(4:00.27).<\/p>\n<p>South Carolina&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Emily Barksdale\u00a0<\/strong>(2:17.98) leads the 200 IM heats ahead of Marlins of Raleigh&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Julia Poole\u00a0<\/strong>(2:19.35) and\u00a0<strong>Kate Moore\u00a0<\/strong>(2:21.55).<\/p>\n<p>15-year-old\u00a0<strong>Timothy Connery\u00a0<\/strong>had a busy morning as he qualified for three A-finals tonight and he is the top seed in the 200 IM with a 2:06.54 morning swim.
