MISSY Franklin noted today that she&#039;s taking recruiting trips to UC-Berkeley, University of Southern California and Georgia this fall.<\/p>\n<p>Beth Harris of The Associated Press, who is in London covering the Olympics, talked with Franklin in London and posted the following on her Twitter account: &#8220;@franklinmissy says she&#039;ll make college recruiting trip to #cal on aug. 31. also visiting #georgia and #USC.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris also posted that Franklin is no longer interested in Stanford, now that Lea Maurer has stepped down as head coach. Maurer resigned earlier this month to &#8220;commit more time and energy to my family.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>NCAA rules allow prospective student-athletes to take as many as five paid recruiting trips.
