In order to qualify, the swimmers will have to go under the qualifying standard in the heats and finish in the top four in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a list of who is qualified already for European Championships for the French team:<\/p>\n<h3>Men:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Jonathan Atsu<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>David<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Aubry<\/strong>, 400 free, 800 free, 1500 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong><em>Paul-Gabriel Bedel<\/em><\/strong><em>, 100 back, 200 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Theo<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Bussiere<\/strong>, 100 breast<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Roman Fuchs<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>400 free, 200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Yonel Govinden<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Pierre Henry Arrenous<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>100 fly<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Stanislas Huille<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>100 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Damien<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Joly<\/strong>, 1500<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Geoffroy Mathieu<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>200 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Mehdy Metella<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>100 free, 100 fly<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Maxence Orange<\/strong>, 100 back, 200 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Jordan Pothain<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Nans<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Roch<\/strong>, 200 fly<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Jeremy Stravius<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 back,<\/em>\u00a0<em>100 free<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Women:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong>, 50 free, 100 free, 200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Mathilde Cini<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 back, 100 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Fanny<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Deberghes<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>100 breast, 200 breast<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Cyrielle Duhamel<\/strong><\/em><em>, 400 IM<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Margaux Fabre<\/strong>, 100 free, 200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Beryl Gastaldello<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 back<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Lara Grangeon<\/strong>, 400 IM<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 fly<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Fantine Lesaffre<\/strong>, 200 breast, 200 IM<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Anouchka Martin<\/strong><\/em>,\u00a0<em>50 free<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong>, 100 fly, 100 free, 200 free<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 400 Free<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 4:10.48<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Anna Egorova<\/strong>, RUS, 4:08.18<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fantine Lesaffre<\/strong>, 4:12.84<\/li>\n<li><strong>Margaux Fabre<\/strong>, 4:14.02<\/li>\n<li><strong>Alizee Morel<\/strong>, 4:18.17<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Anna Egorova<\/strong> of Russia led the women&#8217;s 400 free competition throughout the day, posting the fastest qualifying time in prelims (4:12.80) before topping the competition in finals with a 4:08.18.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fantine<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lesaffre<\/strong> finished second overall with a time of 4:12.84, just above the qualifying standard of 4:10.48.\u00a0<strong>Margaux Fabre<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Alizee Morel<\/strong> added third and fourth place finishes of 4:14.02 and 4:18.17 respectively.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 800 Free<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 7:57.62<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>David Aubry<\/strong>, 7:50.09 (7:57.09, h)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Damien Joly<\/strong>, 7:57.83<\/li>\n<li><strong>Joris Bouchaut<\/strong>, 8:01.61<\/li>\n<li><strong>Paul Barascud<\/strong>, 8:02.38<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>David Aubry\u00a0<\/strong>added to his European Championships schedule with a victory in the men&#8217;s 800 free. Aubry qualified first with a 7:57.09, just under the qualifying standard of 7:57.62, before posting a dominating finish of 7:50.09 in finals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Damien Joly<\/strong> finished second in finals with a 7:57.83, while\u00a0<strong>Joris Bouchaut<\/strong> took third with a time of 8:01.61. Bouchaut just missed his ticket to the European Championships, having posted a time of 7:57.86 in prelims, a slim .24 seconds shy of the qualifying standard.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 200 Back<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 2:13.03<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Valeriya Egorova<\/strong>, RUS, 2:13.12<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mathilde Cini<\/strong>, 2:14.05<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cyrielle Duhamel<\/strong>, 2:14.60<\/li>\n<li><strong>Louise<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Lefebvre<\/strong>, 2:14.74<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Russia&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Valeriya Egorova<\/strong> turned in the top finish in the women&#8217;s 200 back, stopping the clock at a 2:13.12.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mathilde<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Cini<\/strong> grabbed second overall with a 2:14.05, followed by\u00a0<strong>Cyrielle Duhamel&#8217;s<\/strong> 2:14.60 and\u00a0<strong>Louise Lefebvre&#8217;s<\/strong> 2:14.74.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 100 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 52.78<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Mehdy Metella<\/strong>, 51.92<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Pierre Henry Arrenous<\/strong>, 52.61<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Nans Roch<\/strong>, 53.26<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jeremy Desplanches<\/strong>, SUI, 53.35<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Mehdy Metella<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Pierre Henry Arrenous<\/strong>\u00a0punched tickets to the European Championships in the 100 fly. Metella led the charge with a 51.69 in prelims, before winning the event with a 51.92 in finals, both times well under the qualifying standard of 52.78. Arrenous snuck under the qualifying standard with a 52.63 in prelims, before clocking a 52.61 in finals.<\/p>\n<p>The 100 fly adds to Metella&#8217;s 100 free, while this marks the first event on Arrenous&#8217; schedule.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nans Roch<\/strong> finished third with a 53.26, followed by Switzerland&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Jeremy Desplanches&#8217;\u00a0<\/strong>time of 53.35.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Fly<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 26.14<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong>, 25.71<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong>, 26.16<\/li>\n<li><strong>Charlotte Bonnet<\/strong>, 26.20<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lena Bousquin<\/strong>, 26.56<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Melanie Henique<\/strong> joined Team France&#8217;s list of qualifiers for the European Championships, dominating the women&#8217;s 50 fly throughout the final day of competition. Henique posted a 25.93 in prelims to skirt beneath the qualifying standard of 26.14, \u00a0before finishing first with a 25.71.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marie Wattel<\/strong> (26.16),\u00a0<strong>Charlotte Bonnet\u00a0<\/strong>(26.20), and\u00a0<strong>Lena Bousquin<\/strong> (26.56) rounded out the top four finishers.<\/p>\n<h3>Men&#8217;s 50 Free<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 22.35<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><strong>Yonel Govinden<\/strong>, 22.13<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong>, 22.14<\/em><\/li>\n<li><strong>Oussama Sahnoune<\/strong>, ALG, 22.30<\/li>\n<li><strong>Clement Mignon<\/strong>, 22.72<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Yonel<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>Govinden<\/strong> and\u00a0<strong>Maxime Grousset<\/strong> pushed each other to the top of the men&#8217;s 50 free podium and each earned a spot on Team France&#8217;s roster. Govinden and Grousset were under the qualifying standard of 22.35 in prelims with times of 22.33 and 22.15 respectively, before posting final times of 22.13 and 22.14 in finals.<\/p>\n<p>Algeria&#8217;s\u00a0<strong>Oussama Sahnoune<\/strong> grabbed third with a 22.30, followed by\u00a0<strong>Clement Mignon&#8217;s<\/strong> 22.72.<\/p>\n<h3>Women&#8217;s 50 Breast<\/h3>\n<p><em>Qualifying standard: 31.14<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Fanny Deberghes<\/strong>, 31.66<\/li>\n<li><strong>Solene Gallego<\/strong>, 32.13<\/li>\n<li><strong>Carmella Kitching<\/strong>, 32.18<\/li>\n<li><strong>Camille Mallet<\/strong>, 32.40<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fanny Deberghes<\/strong> just missed out on qualifying for all three breaststroke events, not quite hitting the qualifying standard of 31.14.
